--This is a work in progress. Brennan is the one who knows she's in love, and she can't take Booth's little 'empty' hints anymore, so she decides to get away for a while. Very angst-filled story, and written really well.

I know a lot of people have had "This Often Silent Place" in their favorites list for a while. It is an excellent story and E. Stevens has just updated after a long absence.

What She's Been Through
Temperance's life starting in an abusive foster home at age sixteen. This will follow my version of her life story and how she met everyone. Booth and the others are now struggling to help her get through the aftermath of her recent traumatic experience.

Re: Fanfiction Recommendations
In addition to Labsquint, anything by blc is terrific as well (lots of M rated stuff). "Serendipity" is a wonderful, ongoing epic!

Have you got a link for that fic ksm? I'd love to read it!
Oh, and Labsquint has started on a new fic too, Latent Images. As usual it's full of detail and really sucks you in.

blc and Serendipity

I agree with KSM, in fact there are quite a few really talented writers out there and I love Labsquint, blc, hpaich, and MilkMamaReturns. (note links are underlined).
blc is an extremely gifted writer who has some epics going on, they do include some smut, and I mean really hot and steamy stuff so be warned if your not ready for an adult take on sex (not the usual penthouse forum type stuff). My faves are Serendipity and Pushing Buttons (plus anything else she's written - I'm not too proud to admit I'm a fanboy)
hpaich is another really great writer who's a little less prolific than blc but no less gifted and her current opus is The Bet
Labsquint writes epics and shorts, mostly in story arcs, and they're not just gifted as writers but technically accurate and well. They research the hell out of things. Really it's like reading an online novel when they write and like blc their stuff is addictive. I recommend just going to their author page (Labsquint) and checking things out in sequence, otherwise the story of theirs I love the most is Firestorm Gehenna
MilkMama has what I consider to be one of the best B&B fics I've ever read, an epic on par with Serendipity that is filled with angst, smut, and B&B goodness called A Boy From Philly
Finally I'll blow my own horn, yeah I'm not too proud to self promote. I've started writing a few Bones fics myself, mostly angst and smut, no case fics yet but I'm working on some. The ones I've written so far are:
The Prodigal Bones - A fluffy relationship one-shot, my first bones fic.
Tattooed - A smutty comedy piece, basically Brennan has a tattoo and has to explain to Angela why she got it.
A Pivotal Moment - A very angst ridden bit that explores what could have happened after ConMan if Booth hadn't been able to forgive Brennan.
A Pivotal Moment Triple Shot - I got a lot of requests to make a 'happy ending' for the original and this is the result, there's smut, more angst, but in the end B&B goodness.
Please stop by and check these fine authors out, they really deserve it, and if you have time check out some of my stuff as well. I appreciate any feedback I get. Thanks.

THX1138, in case you didn't know (sounds like not) MilkMamaReturns is our very own ForensicMama, known 'round these parts simply as Mama!
And I agree, she is definitely on the short list of some very wonderful writers!!

Re: Fanfiction Recommendations
wow. Did not know that in fact, but the at the risk of sucking up I will reiterate that A Boy From Philly is (IMO) the best fic out there, mostly for the way it presents Booth and his childhood, as well as the way it shows Booth enduring his father's impending demise. Simply classic stuff. Great Job Mama!

I love it so much. I absolutely love the way she writes the characters. Amazing.
It has a sequel being written too!!
I didn't dig War in the Woods so much, but the sequel is Killer in the Classroom, and it is freaking awesome. I'm almost finished reading it. It's more of a novel than a story. Genius! Pure genius.
