Fanfiction Recommendations

Found a couple more recent posts--OOC, perhaps, but powerful in their ways:

This isn't a recommendation as such, but I just wanted to let you all know that labsquint and her writing partner FauxMaven are writing a book to be published.

Her blog about it is on her livejournal page.

It sounds very interesting and probably something that we all would enjoy reading.

OMG! I've been reading this one. It's certainly not looking like a warm and fluffy B&B moment is coming anytime soon. Very intense, very well done from a dark Booth point of view. It does delve into some disturbing aspects of the sex trade as well as simulated sexual assault, so not for everyone but if you can handle that stuff it's worth the read.

Yeah, I've been following it too...it's absolutely an amazingly well done piece of fiction. Keeps me at the edge of my seat. xD And she's actually a pretty fast updater, too. She updates at least every couple of days. (Not fast enough for my taste, though. xD I find myself checking my email for updates all the time. I'm just so anxious to read more! )

I have to concur vehemently. That's (one of) the best fanfics I read in a while...

Saint in the Shadow over at FF.net....really good!

I LOVE By Any Means Necessary. Defnitely not light. But it's written very well!! There's 54 chapters as of today. YAY! I can't wait for the next update.

I, like most of you have been reading the wonderful, By any means necessary,( Cheri Goodman) I also really like Saint in the Shadows, and it's new sequel The spaces in Between ( Greyisthecatspajamas and Jen Mcdreamy) anything by Sleeplessinatlanta is good but my favorite is Silent Surrender. The reality/fantasy week series by Dispatch22705 is awesome ( if like me, you enjoy the M rated stuff ) and the other one I'm really enjoying is Slouching toward Bethlehem ( aregularjo) , it's really sad and heartbreakingly realistic. All found at FF.net

And fifthed and sixthed! Sleepless is among the best smut writers out there, definitely the queen of smut right now since blc has temporarily stepped back from Ficdom. Her ability to enfuse humor and a sense of playfulness into scenes that are intensely erotic is what makes the writing come alive for me. Love it! Love it! Love it!

Ah, I almost forgot about aRegularJo while heaping praise on Sleepless for her work. Slouching Towards Bethlehem is one of the most realistic and heart touching fics I've read concerning someone with Cancer. I've a close friend who's currently dealing with a stage two cancer and we both read this, it's a great, great read.

Oh, and there's another story I'm quite taken with, To Sleep, Perchance to Dream. The author is brilliant and a close personal friend of mine.

I'm seconding your recomendation of To Sleep, Perchance to Dream , don't know how I missed it on my list as I read it the same day. You can tell your "friend" that it's a great story

Does anyone have any good brennan angst fics? More specifically brennan feeling alone/abandoned/sad....booth not loving her fics? lol I'm still reeling over those side spoilers and need some good angst to get me through till april lol

That's a one shot, nothing but angst, quick read at like 3300 words. There's another version of the same story (I received enough requests to "change" the ending that I added a couple of chapters), there's more angst to start but a little smut and a happier finish:
