Is Booth's theory right? Do boys organize their cd's organically and girls alphabetically? Answer the poll!

I don't organise them at all. The only organising that I do is that I group the same artists DCs together.

ok... well i didn't vote in the poll because none of those options fit for my system! i organize my cds both alphabetically and organically...

firstly, i have contemporary music separate from classical/instrumental music...
-all classical/instrumental music is alphabetical except if its an instrumental soundtrack.
-soundtracks with instrumental music are grouped in classical/instrumental ...they are simply kept separate from the other classical music.
-within contemporary music, my favourite band (U2) i have all of their albums and singles grouped together in chronological order based on when they were released.
-the rest of contemporary music are in alphabetical order.

key components of my system:
ALL cds go back in the original case... what is the point in organizing if the cases are all mixed up?!
ALL cds must be filed in the same direction so that i can read the titles easily... again, what is the point of organization if you can't read the titles?

there you go... a system that blends the best of both worlds. and shows just how uptight i am !!

ha ha ha, is that a compliment magic??
for the record, i don't have 11 sets of towels, but i fully admit that i inadvertently tidy spaces without realizing that i'm doing it.

i've been told that i need help. i feel i'm just organized.

I organize EVERYTHING!

I look at it as being a good mom, student and teacher. There would be able to keep the schedule that I do if I was organized (and then some). I was the mom of twins the first time I became a mom, and organization was a survival skill. The student part of me wouldn't be able to work on, much less complete, a PhD program if not organized. The science teacher in me also has to be organized because I have to know exactly where chemicals and equipment is at all times.

I know I need help! But therapy isn't working! Smile

I only have a few CD's, like under 10, so no need to organize them. They all fit on a very little cubby shelf I have. Now dh on the other hand, well, he has hundreds of them and they are all over his computer room. Drives me crazy.

I organize them alphabetically. But I have a place where I put the two or three favourite CDs (at that moment) - in front of the alphabetical organized ones - so that I have them handy if I need them.
And like ehbee I think it's important to have them in the original cases and filed in the same direction.
btw, that drives me crazy with some books. My Kathy Reichs books for example are not all of the same publishing company, so you can't always have them filed in the same direction. That's so annoying...
