yup, just got off the phone with amtrak... 'no direct service from toronto to boston' is what the nice lady said... she stopped being nice when i started giggling at the absurdity of a 16 hour train trip, followed by an overnight stay and backtracking to get to my destination.

why boston?
#1 because it seems like a cool city - lots to do, very historical and there is whale watching!
#2 because there is a four seasons hotel in boston and bf gets 5 free nights as an employee of the corporate office.
