well, to be honest.... some birth controls do not prevent the actual contact between ovum and sperm and therfore technically an impregnation occurs. But then the ovum can not 'fix itself' (for lack of a better word) in the uterus and dies.

but I still think it's better to use that kind of birth control than to wait until you're pregnant and then abort. IMO, it's just plain crazy to condemn birth control.... people should be happy that so many use it. At least in Europe, as far as I know, the rate is pretty high and there aren't that much abortions.
