SAG MEETING TO CONTINUE ON 10/19

SAG talks end with no decision
Board will meet again Sunday morning
Leaders of the Screen Actors Guild have recessed for the night without deciding on whether to ask members for a strike authorization.
SAG's national board will re-convene at 8 a.m. Sunday in Los Angeles.

The guild released no other details about the meeting.

SAG's negotiating committee recommended that the national board seek a strike authorization two weeks ago.

Saturday's meeting was the first since the more assertive Membership First coalition lost its majority on the board in elections. The moderates haven't disclosed whether they'll support a strike authorization.

SAG's leaders have insisted the guild deserves a better deal than the WGA, DGA and AFTRA. SAG and the congloms haven't negotiated in over three months.

SAG's feature-primetime deal expired June 30.
