She seems like such a cool person to be around. Reading that article makes ME want to be a vegan, and I love meat. But dang, it sounds expensive to have to go through such things to keep that promise to yourself. I think I'd need to move to LA first, so that I can actually find places that'd work for me Laughing

She's a great role model!

OH I agree. Reading that part where she was talking about women in Africa who are raped so their husbands disown them almost made me cry. I've known about it, of course, but it reminded me of their plight and made me glad that she was a part of an organization that was helping those women. It's good to hear that people out there are helping those ladies.

And I know what you mean about moving to LA. Where I grew up it seemed that everyone learned to hunt as soon as they walked (except for me... thankfully I don't have that one on my conscience ROFLMAO)... if I were to become a vegetarian my family would probably laugh in my face. My brother in law already thinks I'm a "hippie"... Of course I think he's a jerk. So things are even. Wink
I wonder if there are any vegetarian/vegan restaurants in Oregon... hmmmm

I actually found a ton in Portland, which makes sense. I've heard things about the "hippies" in Portland lol... Yay, I've found my people! Laughing Laughing Laughing

(Take that, Mark!) Twisted Evil We hippies will take over the world!!! Starting with YOU! Twisted Evil

Can I just say I love how natural and down to earth she seems in interviews and things. I'm not a vegan, or for that matter a vegetarian...but I could be if there were enough resources in my area. And reading about her efforts, the things she's doing to help people...I love her. I really do.

The picture looks fine to me. Emily's so pretty it's not even funny. Cool

Absolutely *gorgeous* picture. And everyone has already said it, but could she BE any more amazing? I mean, with all of her efforts to help people and animals alike? So fabulous.
