Farm Sanctuary - Emily Deschanel

Here is an interview with Karen Dawn, an author and a big supporter of the Farm Sanctuary. There is a mention of the rescued turkeys Emily and Bruce in it and well as nice compliments on Emily (the human, not the turkey). Emily will be doing a reading for the Farm Sancuary this Sunday.

"I rescued the turkeys – Bruce and Emily. They’re named after Bruce Greenwood and Emily Deschanel who are going to do a reading with me next Sunday ( December 14th ) at Animal Acres , and then help me retire their little rescue turkey namesakes. I am excited because it is Bruce Greenwood’s first ever animal event! He read my book and seemed seriously impacted by it — changed some of his eating habits — and agreed to the public reading."
