Other forums?

I was just wondering how many of you are on other non bones related forums under the same username? The only one I'm on is a dance forum. It usually I like to change it up. But then I forget the UN so I find it easier to keep them the same.

Hmmmm, not really, the only non-work related forums I'm on are Bones or House related. I dipped my toe into some other ones, but I dunno, the Bones family here is about the best bunch I have ever run into anywhere. So I sort of stay here whenever possible.

I agree. I hate the people on the imdb boards cause all they do these days is complain about how much a show or actor sucks and make fights out of it. So it's nice to have friends here who don't try to start fights.

well, the Fox House and Bones forums got kinda bad for a while. Especially the House forum, that changed character completely during the strike, seemed like there was nothing but fighting all the time, then when 13 kissed the girl...OMG!! it got terrible, and hasn't really been the same since. This place is so friendly, and like you said, no one tries to start fights here like in other forums. I like it here. ^^

yeah, thats what i hate about the internet, it's anonymous so i can say whatever i want and be as mean as i want and it won't matter because no one knows who you are, but i think it's still rude, it's nice that you have an opinion, but you don't need to get on that show/actors forum and rave on about how much the show or actor sucks as if the rest of us are going to pat you on the back and say, "yep, you're right." you know that the forums have fans on their and of course they are going to fight back, because in a weird way actors are like our friends, we have their backs. Right, or am i just crazy?

Of course you're right. Forums are primarily fan based, and is someone comes in and trashes your fav show or character or actor, of course you'll defend them. I made up my mind if I was joining something like this, I'd try to be as positive in attitude as possible. If someone said something nasty or hateful, I might make one or two comments to state my point of view, but normally i try to ignore stuff like that. I come to these forums to relax, have fun, be silly, meet hot chicks, and......ooops, strike that last part! ^^


seriously, I want to have fun, and that doesn't include arguing about anything. I got caught up in a few nasty threads, but came to my senses and stopped. Some people find it fun to argue and be nasty, and there's no way to win against someone like that, so i opt not to, and just try to be friendly,silly and fun. So far, I think I have the silly part nailed down.........

You nailed it, pimp. Some people thrive on conflict and will write something hateful just to get people riled. Best thing to do is stay calm, state your POV in a civil manner, and just let them look like an idiot. No sense playing into their hands and giving them the enjoyment of causing a conflict.

hey! i do like discussing what i like and don't like about the show here. i don't know that many people in real life who watch bones, so i'm really glad i've found all you guys here to talk about the show. of course i love 99% of it, or otherwise i wouldn't be here. but when there's something like last season's finale that really upsets me, i think it's okay to say that too. as long as it's in a way that doesn't insult anyone.

what i really don't like is when it gets political or personal. so something i just noticed that really bothers me is people adding banners like "anti-obama" or "i stand with israel". i think that kind of stuff just doesn't belong here. everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but i don't want people throwing their political views at me in forum that's about a tv show and that is supposed to be fun! especially not in an aggressive manner like that! sorry.

I was on an Aussie horse forum as Milo, but I left there for reasons that I would rather not discuss (as alot of other people did) and I have made some amazing rl friends off there that I love to bits, but I am so glad I moved on here. This is such a welcoming place and I love it.

Squirtandmilo is the name I use everywhere now though. LJ, Forums, Account names, ect. Sorta makes me easy to identify on the net if you know me I guess...

Hey,
This is basically the only forum I'm an active member. A while ago I was member of the Cold Case Source#1, but since I don't like Cold Case that much any more I don't post there very often.

And I have to concur with Lena. Everybody here is entitled to have his/her own opinion on politics, but I think it might come to fights if we all start talking about it.
Moreover, people might get prejudices before even getting to know each other.
