Thursday: Bones (Fox, 8 PM): This show does excellent work for Fox: while not really strong enough to be a lead-in, the network knows it will perform reliably whenever it needs to be moved out of the way of American Idol. Brennan and Booth are forced to go undercover as a circus knife-throwing act to unravel the mystery behind the deaths of conjoined twins. Anytime David Boreanaz has to put on a costume or otherwise act non-FBI-like, it's always comedy gold.
