Ella, that's a good answer! lol Are they younger or elder ones? I have a younger sister but unfortunately we weren't awfully close when we were children. It was probably my mistake, I know. But as adults we have a lot better relationship. I guess I just realised she'll always be my sister.RGPageantqueen wrote:I have my sisters to play with.

all three of my sisters are younger. We fight a lot but we are pretty close. We go do stuff together. It's nice to have them when there is no one else to play with.

Re: What Do/Did You Like to Play with?
I was looking back and saw this. I thought of a few things that I hadn't mentioned way back when.
We always played card games like spades, solitaire, double-solitaire, war. Dominoes - the regular game and standing them up in designs to knock them all down. And when I was at the youth center I was always playing pool (my brother even got me my own cue one year)!

Re: What Do/Did You Like to Play with?
I had too many favorite toys--it all depended on how old I was. I will say that one of my favorites was a baby doll--the kind that opened & closed its eyes and could drink and wet--named June Baby. Unfortunately, dear June Baby recently met her end due an encounter with a damp basement and perhaps a flood and had to be discarded as she fell apart.
I had handmade clothes for her, too!
In my youngest years, there were Little People and Weebles and a lot of stuffed animals and other dolls, most of which are gone as well.
When I got a little older, I had (metal!) Tonka trucks and some of the more girly stuff. A slight digression--I am told there was a brief parenting trend to encourage, well, not exactly androgeny, but to ease gender lines. Hence the trucks. Loved them, too.
Then Barbie and He-Man & She-Ra action figures came along.
Out of all of that, I have precious little left and really no pix. I am getting rid of my Barbies--will be donating them somewhere. Most of the animals are gone, though I have acquired new ones. I think the little stuffed wolf I named Nightrunner is my current fav, but Chocolate Cherry Bear might be the oldest.
I can't promise any pictures; will post if I can, though.
Not that I stayed in the house; I was a bit of a tomboy and rode my bike and climbed trees and dug in the dirt with the boys, and read a LOT. And cards and board games too, yes, since you mention them.

Play-Dough. I always had that stuff underneath my nails when I was little. And the homeade stuff? Yeah...
I also had one of those cheap microphone toy things that made your voice echo, that I carried everywhere.
And a tomagotchi. Don't laugh, okay? I loved that thing. But not Furbies. Those thigs were freaking creepy.

I love the idea of donating your toys! Must say I have never done that. Don't think I'll ever be strong enough to give them away.
As for pix, maybe it's high time you took some pix of your few left. You know, just for history's sake...

MG! Another PD-addict! lol Someone was also mentioning it as her fav thing to play with. That microphone thingy sounds really cool. You must have been popular among girls! lolMoonlightGardenias wrote:Play-Dough. I always had that stuff underneath my nails when I was little. And the homeade stuff? Yeah...

Never had tomagotchi. Fortunately, I was out of age range when it was in fashion. lol I only have a monchichi (monkey). Have you heard about it? It's a stuffed animal invented by Japanese (I think).
