Ah-Ha Moments!

Post by ForensicMama on Fri Feb 13, 2009 11:25 pm

Have you ever watched the show and had an "Ah-Ha!" Moment and realized that the writers did something interesting or noticed something interesting on the set, actors, etc?

Here's the place to put it...

I'll be the first to post since I just saw this yesterday (I obviously noticed 'Noel Lifton', but there's more...)

The Secret in the Soil: Noel Lifton was one of the characters. In Emma Billings' apartment, there was a bill from "Hop Li's Chinese Kitchen". The show begins in Sweets' Office, and ends in Sweets' Office.

The Man in the Outhouse: Noel Lifton was back. Booth and Brennan went to "Hop Li's" at the end of the show. The Show begins in Sweets' Office, and ends in Sweets' Office.

This is more me being slow/stupid.

It took me watching the Boy in the Time Capsule several times before I realized the same actor played the dead guy and the son.

I was like "wow they really do look alike. how did they cast that?" then i realized, while watching it once, oh.... it's the same guy.

Hahhaa! I didn't notice, either. Now I'll have to re-watch it!

This is really random...but last night me and my friend (Syil) had a Bones marathon, and as we were watching 'The Girl in the Fridge', right at the part where Bren opens the present Michael gives her, my friend gets a text message...The noise her phone makes is that noise from the Zelda games that plays when you figure something out, open a chest, etc... And it happened RIGHT when she opened the box...XD We laughed so freaking hard...I had tears running down my face. XD And my friend's mom was like....WTF? What's so funny??
...Maybe you had to be there...

Anyway, sorry for the off topic-ness...

Had 2 ah-ha moments recently: first, the actor that plays Chip in 'Crank in the Shaft' is the same guy that looks at the impounded car of Brennan's parents in 'Woman in Limbo'. Think his name is Ewan Chung.
Second: In 'Priest in the Churchyard' in the last scene Gordon Gordon, Angela and Brennan sit in the diner and Angelas gets advice from GG. Then Brennan leaves and Angela tries to convince GG that BB are like meant to be or sth.... They start quoting some poet and right after Angela says sth like "journeys end in lovers meeting" through the window outside the diner behind Ange and GG you can see the Tahoe pulling up, Booth flashing his charm smile and Brennan getting in the car. When I realized it I grinned like a maniac. Wondered if anyone else ever noticed b/c one never really pays attention to what's going on in the background.

That I saw - I don't think I have ever 'missed' a Booth Smile No That is why I watch the show, so if I miss one, then I am not a very good viewer Wink

End scenes of Killer in the Concrete and Death in the Saddle are the same:

camera has panned out we're now viewing Booth and Brennan sitting at the table from outside the diners window and there are crutches propped against the wall behind Booth, relivant to KitC but not to DitS!

Not sure if this qualifies - but in the outside shot of Brennan in 'Verdict' you can clearly see Booth lurking behind the pillar, before he leaves the court room to find Brennan. Once I noticed that, I was so cross with myself, because I love that scene and I get totally distracted now!

I know, HeyLJ. I noticed it the first time I saw the episode and now, even when I'm trying not to look, I keep "getting" it. Very distracting...

And snicker, don't feel bad. I didn't notice that either.

My A-ha! moment was watching an after-episode preview and seeing Billy Ray McKenna in the closing credits. I had No Clue that he was a) a real person. b) the costume department supervisor.

Just watched ending. He sure was lurking outside before leaving courtroom - damn that man is good that he can be in two places at once Laughing Laughing

I didn't, but I'd like to go back and see that - especially with it happening to that narration!
