They ARE on different networks, but if there is a common distribution company (i.e. Warner Bros.), then shows from diff networks can be filmed on the same lot. ER and Veronica Mars were both filmed on the same lot at WB, even though they were on NBC and CW.

That's also why there's not likely to be a Bones/House crossover, even though they're on the same network.

I think it's something else. Almost as if they're sending an allegorical message with them. Consider this:

Rebecca Stinson is Parker's mother and she's best known for the way she manipulates Booth's time with Parker, making him question his ability as a father. Terry Stinson finds out his son was actually the result of a sexual liaison between his wife, Janelle, and the victim Roger Dillon, calling into question if he's really a father at all.

Bancroft family donate enough money for there to be a "Bancroft Wing" at the Jeffersonian, so I'm assuming the two men are related. Other than that, Jack and Terry (talk about recycling) were friends who had a falling out over a girl (Clarissa), and Clarissa was a suspect in Bancroft's death. Dr Bancroft had a falling out (in a manner of speaking) with Booth and the Squints over the death of a Kristen Reardon and was a suspect in her death.

Caroline Julian is the fierce and fearless prosecutor who puts away serial killers and gets them the needle. Caroline Epps is the meek and mousy defender/victim of a serial killer and one time wanted to bear his child, enabling him to live on after his execution.

Will Hastings murdered his brother because he was disappointed at the insensitive self-centered monster he'd become. Bill Hastings was the tool that murdered Amy Cullen, among others, when the administrative assistant, Alexandra Combs, sold his grafts to the hospital and she turned out to be an insensitive self-centered monster.

Seeley Booth saved Hank Lutrell's life while they were in the Rangers. Hank Booth saved Seeley's life when he was a child getting beaten by his father.

I mean, I could be reaching but...nah, I'm not even going to go there. Psych Boy strikes again!
