A woman was stopped at Munich airport after baggage control handlers found her brother's skeleton in her luggage.

Metro reports that the 62-year-old woman and a friend were hauled in by airport police after a scan showed a human skull and other bones.

The women, on their way to Italy from Brazil, were carrying the brother's remains in a sealed plastic bag inside a suitcase.

They were trying to fulfil the last wish of the brother, who died 11 years ago in Brazil, to be buried in Italy.

The women produced the appropriate papers from Brazilian authorities and were allowed to carry on their way to Naples.

"Airport security spotted the skull and bones when the suitcase was put through the x-ray machine," Police spokesperson Christian Maier said.

"We questioned the women and they produced a valid death certificate showing he had died 11 years ago of natural causes.

"As they were not violating any German laws they were allowed to continue their journey to Italy." - Ananova.com

So I guess it was okay for Bren to be carrying the human skull from Guatemala in the pilot! As long as she had the proper documentation...
