!Woot! Score one for the home team!I just started watching officially as a fan last spring when I caught The Man in the Mud... not the best episode of course, but the fact that THAT episode drew me in (of all episodes) only tells you how darn excited I am for beautifully written episodes such as Con Man and, hopefully, The Critic in the Cabernet & the Finale.
Nope. Ever since last spring it has been a constant and downward spiral.
Re: 4x19 The Critic in the Cabernet
Woh Mama, that was one very fast downward spiral!
*Sigh* I got hooked on Bones...when I bought the season 1 DVD box set (without ever having watched an episode...we had no satellite TV) Got home, sat down, watched virtually the entire box set in one day...oh dear...and it's been a steady descent into insanity ever since!
Anabelle? I hear you loud and clear. I also admired and identified with Brennan's steadfast rejection of producing off spring. (Don't get me wrong I don't dislike kids...I'm the one who usually ends up entertaining family/neighbours children...Colouring in, drawing, playing with playdoh, playing with their toys...Errr...Umm...Sorry, playing with them with their toys...Darn, busted!
) If anything I thought she might adopt or foster to give a child (in the same situation that she once was herself) a chance?
I still think that there has to be a catalyst to this situation (Cam's new addition maybe?) Something has to be going on in that big ol' brain of hers to produce such a paradigm shift in her emotions and outlook? Don't forget that although Brennan says she wants children it seems she's set her heart (and I do mean heart, not head!) on Booth being the father...so much so that she is willing to try a little manipulation and emotional blackmail to get her way.
This sets up tremendous possibilities for the writers on the show. When B&B sleep together Booth could think it's to satisfy Brennan's biological urges. He could feel that if he dismisses what they have done, reduces it down to biology, then he won't feel (as Brennan said) that sting of rejection. At the same time Brennan could be completely dumfounded and could be coming round to Booth's notion of two objects occupying the same space. But what's in their heads/heart and what comes out of their mouths may be two separate things (yes people, join with me in singing hymn number 2#12 "The great line of Booth"...the chorus is great "...there's a line and we can't crosssss iiiiiiiiiiit"
). The "serious repercussions" and the fall out from this event could be that B&B tells the other what they think they want to hear...and that could cause enough emotional turmoil to fuel all of next season.
There, I really am gonna shut up now!

Say What You Want: A Reporter sat under a Fig Tree one night,
"Where art thou Booth?" She said.
The lightning went Flash!
The tree went Crash!
And squashed the Reporter quite dead.
*Sigh* Isn't poetry lovely?

So, Mama, if you've only been a Bones fan since last Spring ... how long have you been writing fanfic? Any other shows you write/wrote for? Sorry for my disbelief, but ... dang!ForensicMama wrote:DBCrazy wrote:ForensicMama wrote:agnerka81 wrote:Recent Bones convert here (TNT new years marathon)

How long have I been writing fanfic? I think... since about last spring, early summer. I love to write. That's always been a hobby of mine and I find it easier to write about Bones since the characters are already established, etc., etc.

That's what I think, but I also think that the ball started rolling in the last episode with that little montage at the end. (Not that she was thinking about KIDS, but more about the whole picture.)
