Bumping the finale... maybe?

I know there are some rumors going around that Fox will bump the finale that we have all been waiting for til next season.... in my logical mind I just can't fathom how they think they could get away with that. After all the publicity they have received by letting this out of the bag months and months ago. They would have a ton of explaining to do, I just don't see how that would be the option they go with. Wouldn't make sense to get rid of one of the episodes in between before the long awaited finale. I mean this seems most logical to me but then again look at all what we ahve put up with this year.

curious to hear other thoughts about the rumors???

The Futon Critic has Episodes 4x19 & 4x20 (Critic in the Cabernet & the Finale) listed as a two hour back-to-back finale on the fourteenth.
I hope this is correct.
Fox hasn't released its official word yet.

that only make sense - either drop one of the episodes to come or have double epi on finale. *crossing fingers*

I would really not mind one of the filler episodes getting bumped to next season, TBH. I mean...they might have to reshoot a scene or two, but what would be the harm?

And yeah...I'm totally fine with having a double-backed finale episode night. But they can't. They CAN'T push back the finale. They've been promoing it for months now, they've had interviews on what will happen...you can't advertise something THAT BIG and then reneg.No.

Who can we email? Or write to? Something, because yeah. I know it wouldn't be the end of the world to wait until next season, but come on. They can't keep doing this.

I emailed askfox.com.... a couple of times... i know other at the Bone yard have as well

I emailed askfox about the schedule and I received a reply that said, "We don't know yet"... it didn't even have a period. I assume that he must've had a lot of emails to reply to.

I'm so upset about all of this preempting crap...I couldn't even concentrate on watching tonight's episode. Fox needs to stop putting Bones on the back-burners. Like, now.

I hope it's the two hour block finale because I'm very angry with Fox for even CONSIDERING bumping it!!

The ratings are going up. They're getting new people to watch as the season wears on. Unless they've been living under a rock or are six feet under, basically every Bones fan in the universe knows about the naked in bed thing. They also know it's supposed to happen in the finale, because they-Fox, Hart and Nathan-have said it will/is supposed to happen then. For them to just toss that all away?

And with this much backlash, maybe they'll you know...not do it? The FG thing for the finale I could...kind of deal with if it's in Booth's head. But still. Fox needs to get their head in the game.

I think there's a possibility that it's in The Critic in the Cabernet only... but they're calling it 'the finale' since the two episodes are airing back to back...? Hard to say.

Not true, My sister hits me if i try to give spoilers. She has no idea about the bed consummation or the pregnancy question... none of it. I don't know how she does it.

I'm just going to tell myself that this isn't true because I cannot, logically, attempt to contemplate it. So yeah, that's what I'm going with. Finale IS going to happen. End of discussion (for me)

You know what I just realized, after reading the sides for Critic in the Cabernet...and it worries me a little. But:

Booth's health crisis is probably going to overshadow the baby thing, at least for now. So, either the crisis is solved by the end, the whole 'in bed' thing ends up being comfort sex or...the actual sleeping together thing will be postponed until next season. I guess in the end, if it's done right, I won't complain, but still. We were promised something.

And the 'everyone' thing is a bit of an exaggeration but still. One of my best friends, who won't touch spoilers with a ten foot pole (going so far to change the station at the end to not see promos)...knows about the sex thing. Not the baby, but the other things...because it's kind of hard to avoid.
