At the end of the show (last season) it would be okay for me to see them w/ a kid. I read my share of fanfiction to have grown to like the idea. Very Happy Just not in the near future (whatever that may mean in TV time). Mereva, wouldn't you feel cheated out of everything that could happen for the two of them in between getting together and having a kid? (And I don't mean moving in and marriage and all that, but relationship-wise...)
But I think/hope we are safe on the baby-front for now...

Yes, sure. I would LOVE to see a good functioning relationship, but not a struggle. I'm afraid though that TPTB might give us a constant "we-can't-be-together-it-was-a-mistake-just-one-night-thing" excuse of a relationship, in this case I'd DEFINITELY prefer a scenario with 100000 BB children!

id like to trust HH, but i'm going to say right now that writers change when situations have to change.

i used to watch alias & trusted that show with whatever direction it wanted to take. but that show still went downhill after the two characters got together.

anyways im not trying to say HH is the same way, but I'm saying its a definite possibility.

Totally agree, but they went for the 'ridiculously ripping them apart plot-line' and to be honest, I don't think they ever knew how they were going to end it and tie up all the other Rambaldi stuff. I loved Alias too and it was just ruined for me with the introduction of Lauren (Ugh). If Bones pulled a similar stunt, I really am not sure I could watch. I really hate that relationship plot-line. Really hate it (I always quote Lois and Clark here Laughing).

The thing that makes me most hopeful that they won't is that quote from TV Guide from DB (I think) which said 'it (the sex) will only make their partnership stronger'. Or something to that effect. Fingers crossed.

I too want to see healthy relationship stuff before baby stuff. Very Happy

As against babies as I am, I have to agree with HeyLJ on this one. Alias went down not because the leads got together but because JJ is immune to the definition of simple (exhibit B: Lost). After the Two Year Leap, things got beyond ridiculous. And then there was Lauren. Lauren was the plotline from hell.

Still, no babies pleasethankyouverymuch. Razz

ya i suppose for a little bit after the Alias leads got together it was fine. but overall the lesson learned was that I trusted J.J. Abrams in whatever way he took the show...& to be honest my trust got betrayed. (not to sound dramatic but ya)

so its hard not to be worried about the baby issue.

I don't think they're having a baby...Think about it, we've been told Bones wants a baby, we've been told they'll have sex so they can have a baby we have not been told they are having a baby. And they did say that after they have sex they'll have a lot of thinking to do and things will change. Maybe they'll realize it's not that easy to keep things apart...

I don't think they'll have a baby or at least not now. Maybe they'll be trying until the end of season 6 or something who knows. What I do know is that they don't want Brennan pregnant, the show is all about action and Bones being out there they won't spend all that time showing the star of the show unable to work(at least out in the field) and then the rest of the show with the two of them having to take care of a baby...It would change the show and the focus on the crime cases.

I agree, too, that they aren't going to have a baby.

No, I don't think they'll have to child proof the Jeffersonian any time soon either! Very Happy

I think Brennan thinks she wants a baby coz she's frightened of being alone. There was Cam... a big shiny example of a woman with seemingly no notion of becoming a mother (only if she could find one that sleeps late and cleans!) and also with nothing to indicate that she had been or intended to be in a long term relationship...uh-oh! That shiny example is not quite so shiny no more.

Booth has Parker. Cam has Michelle. Angela loves the next thing she sets eyes on (man/woman...whatever!) and her and Hodgins really are two pieces of neodymium caught in an electric field...they're sure to find their way back to each other soon *crosses fingers*. Sweets has Daisy.
And Brennan??? Well, she has her brother...but her brother has his own family, his own place to belong. She has Max...not exactly the most reliable person!...She has Booth???...or does she??? She has forensic anthropology...and that used to be enough.
