The End in the Beginning question

In the season finale episode, a body is found murdered at “The Lab,” a popular nightclub, and everyone is a suspect. In an unusual twist of storytelling, Brennan, Booth and the Jeffersonian team take on various roles outside their normal duties, including serving as the nightclub staff as well as local law enforcement. Mötley Crüe, Ryan O’Neal, Brendan Fehr and Eric Millegan guest-star.

Just wondering if anyone else thinks the "take on various roles" line could refer to a dream/fantasy sequence - like "triangle" in x-files or "dream sequence rings twice" in moonlighting? e.g. there is a dream sequence and the supporting characters play characters in the dream? Could explain how Zack comes back... Anyway, just a thought...

We've been talking about that one. I'm one of the believers (and I'm sure there are lots) who think this is Booth's hallucination. At the end of The Critic in the Cabernet, Booth's illness escalates. I'm thinking he passes out or something at the end of that and the whole of this episode, aside from the sex, is a hallucination. "The Lab" will probably be the Medico-Legal lab dressed up to look like a night club. Brennan, Angela, Cam and the others will be club workers. Or maybe Brennan will be an investigator with Booth. Either way, they're all in different roles. Then at the end, some lovin'!!! xD

Although while you are explaining things to me, i've heard reference of "Booths illness", but not sure where it is revealed... ?

At the end of The Critic in the Cabernet (episode next to the finale), his illness escalates. He starts hallucinating while interrogating someone. Those sides end with Brennan dragging him out. It's revealed either at the end of that episode or in The End in the Beginning. Nobody's certain yet.

Booth won't die from his illness will he? It's always Booth's life at stake in the finales (remember the shooting in season 3)

I wont worry too much about Booth dying, I dont see that happening anytime soon. I agree with Mamas synposis, and I CANT WAIT

I don't think this is really much of a revelation, but Eric Milligan just twittered this: "EricMillegan just had a costume fiting for "Bones'"

i'm guessing this must mean he will be in a fantasy/dream bit..

Yeah, Booth is safe. So is Brennan. They're the two main characters.

I like the idea of the episode being a dream sequence/hallucintion bit or whatever. It makes sense with everything we've heard. The only issue/question I have about that is if we'd get flashes to what's really going on (Doctors working, Brennan telling them to just FIX BOOTH)...or if all we'll get is DreamBooth/Whatever his name will be in the thing....falling or something and having DreamBrennan standing over him being all "Booth?"...before he finally wakes up. And plus, the other issue is how they'll just magically make Booth better in time to you know, have the sex before the end. Unless it fades out as they're going at it or something.

But GAH...If he says anything like "Tell me this is real...I need to know this is real." etc, while being incredibly cheesy, I will still die in a puddle of fangirly goo.

wasnt sure where to post this but- since we saw "Cindrella" and "Mayham" and we have seen some great Bones growing moments, does it make sense she wants to have a baby without a "man" in her life, or is she doing that knowing Booth would never leave her with his child? Because she did mention using Mr. Murrays sperm if Booth wasnt interested, which I know might have been a ploy to get him to cooperate but that is unlike the Brennan we know- she dosnt play games, so just wondering where the writers are going with this, because they have set the emotional side of Bones up for some great growth potential but if they have her just wanting a baby as a prodigy than it strikes out all that growth, IMHO. Had to get that off my chest. Sorry for rambling

And it isn't as scientific as she says at first... it's just something like, "I don't want to be alone" and she mentions her fears of Booth dying--which leads to him kissing her or something to comfort her, which leads to hot AGGRESSIVE sex. xD

oh mama glad I was wrong about Mr. Nigel Murray being the one she askes because- well that would be far creepier than Fisher, which while he is brillant- can you imagine that baby???? A BB baby much better!!!!

I am all for the futher explantation by Bones- and the HOT agressive- my team is not playing well_sex is all good!!!! Wonder how many times they had to run through those scenes????? I wouldnt mind being a stand in if Emily needed one

If they were talking during the sex then probably at least 4 camera angles/4 runovers. If there's no talking then probably 2 camera angles/2 runovers.
