What does this mean? I'm thinking he usually tries to be charming with Bones, but because she isn't a normal 'girl' she doesn't react the same way as cleopatra woman did...
Ooohh! I have to go back and watch that part again now. Good eye!

Yeah, I've gotta agree with everyone here and say that was a fantastically funny, well put together episode. I mean the idea of them stealing a corpse during a funeral and solving the murder before it's over is obviously a stretch, but who cares, they pulled it OFF! Hodgin's speech whilst the poor doctor's body is being shoved into the car..hilarious. Bones trying to make a "sad face,"...hilarious. The whole thing was basically hilarious. I can't wait to go home and re-watch it. I loved that little hurt look in Brennan's eyes when Booth said the Lawyer woman was nice. So subtle, but so perfect. I'm a happy gale after that one. Very Happy

Oh, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who was reminiscing about Angel's little boogie at the Hollywood party in season 1 "Angel"...equally hilarious. DB is a talented comedian independent of his dramatic stuff.

That is definitely the way he tends to act around Brennan, invading her space, the look he wears. Eyes reserved only for her. That whole 'everyone else kind of fades away' thing. That scene with the lawyer lady kind of reminded me of the way he was acting in Passenger when Brennan was wearing the librarian glasses. The trying to flirt to coax something out of her, but not be overtly obvious thing.

Anyway, the only thing that kind of bugged me was the fact that Angela apparently drove separately, and there was no explantion as to why. I feel like because she's not all squinty like the rest of the team, and because she's not someone's Booth...she kind of gets pushed to the side. And also, how and why would Cam get Ange's keys anyway? I mostly just wanted to see her reaction to finding out they stuffed the body in her car. Smile

Booth's car had himself, Brennan, Cam, Hodgins and Sweets. Five people, five seatbelts. Can't fit anyone else in by law. Someone could have offered to go in Angela's car with her to keep her company, but maybe she was running late...

I have to say, I thought Double death was really quite funny. It got quite a few laughs out of me. But I was uneasy the whole episode! I know they were trying to solve a murder under exceptional circumstances, but the whole thing just seemed undignified, and disrespectful. How they talked, how they moved the body around. The whole thing felt off-kilter...It was like I dunno. If it had been written as a comedy fanfic, I would believe it...Who was the writer for the ep?

Booth taking back the money-totally out of character. A man who respects the church and the dead so much would not have taken the money out of the dead man's pocket.

I dunno...it just felt off. And yet it was enjoyable, but like a complete outlier of an episode. almost like they strung together a load of spoof episodes or something. I'm not sure I'm being very coherent here. It's hard to express what I felt was wrong with the episode when it was funy and good but wrong all at once...I did like the end though. In the first season it often ended at the funeral. Not so much anymore. The banter between Booth and Bones at the end was sweet too.

This episode had me laughing the whole time. I have always said, Weddings and funerals are where something can and usually does go wrong. You usually hear about it after the fact. I have seen it happen in my own family numerous times.

While Booth is always charming, his ego was showing when he ask Bones to leave so he could coax the info out of the girl and she agreed. A singer he is not, that scene really had me laughing. This episode reminded me of "Weekend at Bernies" ......such a funny movie. The looks that Ange was giving Hodgins....I wish they would hurry up and get back together. Did you notice...none of the deceased family seem to mind the all the questions being thrown at them. I hope they show the outtakes or bloopers for this episode when they put together the DVD. Loved it, Loved it.

Seriously, was Sweets in the car?? I've watched this episode loads of times and totally blanked on that. Poor Sweets... When Hodgins said 'fugu' and Sweets got all hurt. So funny. I still don't know why he was there though, really!

I LOVED the episode, and thought the ending was extremely sweet!....Booth being so touchly feely...makes me squee!

However, think i would have liked a little mention of Booth's fake death from PitH, i mean...come on...PERFECT situation to mention it!

....Gunna have to live through fanfics!

Whoops. Sorry. must have had a memory failure or something. I thought Sweets was in the car, but that's cause I thought he took part in the fantasy football discussion, but thinking back, I actually just remember him popping up at the funeral. And me thinking, why is Sweets here?

Sorry!
