I GOT IT!!!

I'm only four chapters in so basically what I've read has been casefile info, and of course Kathy's obligatory "this is what the LSJML/SQ building is, and yes, Andrew Ryan and I work eight floors apart" line that's in basically every book.

There HAS been a little Tempe/Ryan banter though, so I guess that's a plus. Cool

I wonder how much time she and her editors or whoever else might be involved spend trying to find new ways to tell the exact same thing over and over again
but then again it has to be told in each book because I don't think new readers would get the whole dynamic without their background

I know.

I mean, I just find it kind funny how in every book she explains it. Oh, and the whole Canadian traffic thing (the road system and all that).

Sidenote: I love Ryan's ability to switch from professional to personal and back, all within one quick exchange. It's classic.

Just finished ch.18. It's taking me longer than I'd like due to studying and stuff but it'd been pretty good. A little different due to the scene and things I don't want to say yet for fear of spoiling everyone (unless of course that's what you want? LOL), but yeah. It's good. Cool

Spoiler:: Do Brennan and Ryan actually get "together" in this one? They're almost as annoying as the TV show with their dancing around their feelings.

Spoiler:: I'm on chapter 23 and not yet. There are a few things that are kind of keeping it that way. BUT...he did ask her if she'd thought about it, so at least that's something right? I know what you mean though. It's so frustrating.
