I really REALLY loved this episode... I'll go and copy and paste my thoughts.... brb.
Re: Beaver in the Otter – SHOW DISCUSSION
*I loved Arastoo bonding with Hodgins--tehehehe
*Angela & Cam playing rock-paper-scissors to babysit Brennan... which ultimately led to this...
*A BRENNAN/BONES MONTAGE! Oh how do I love thee, Hart Hanson for adding this perfect scene so reminiscent of the Pilot episode where music is playing and she's looking over bones! Oh thank you so very much! I was just watching the pilot and came across that scene today and thought how wonderful it would be to watch another montage like that--THANK YOU!
*Fabulously interesting case! (So Animal House! xD I love these writers!)
*Oh Jared! Thank you for bringing back Jared! I love Booth & Jared scenes!
*Brennan is coming around to Sweets' psychology! hehehehhee
*THE ENDING SCENE! Oh it was so wonderful--put a smile on my face! Running out of there like she was a kid with such a big smile on her face! LOVED IT!
[info]forareason83 reminded me of the professor! She was sooooooo good! Obviously an established actress. She was funny and genuine and a little depressing--made for a great laugh! I loved it!

What was the song that played at the end? I feel like they've played it before, or maybe I've heard it on another show. I don't know, but it kind of sounded familiar. But yeah...that whole leaving money but still letting Brennan think she was doing soemthing because he knew it would make her happy was definitely a Booth thing to do.
The song at the end was called "Save You" - Matthew Perryman Jones
they could have used it again, although they haven't used any song twice to my knowledge. Maybe they had a song that was similar in style & sound.

Oh, thank you.
I forgot to mention that Brennan montage moment, because I loved it too. We've had more "in the field" Brennan than anything else, so having that moment of just her there with the bones was really cool to see and is something I have missed.

Re: Beaver in the Otter – SHOW DISCUSSION
I like the episode however two things didn't fit in at all in the episode (for me).
Booth saying he is free to do what he wants. He has a son he loves and is devoted to and would not leave him to go to India with his brother to ride around on a motorcycle. I was surprised that Parker did not come up at all when this was being discussed.
Jared drinking in the bar at the end
Sweets asked Booth if Jared was drinking again and Booth replied that he was pretty sure Jared was all dried up before his court martial which I interpreted as Jared had stopped drinking.

It was mineral water. It actually jumped out at me because I'd missed the Sweets/Booth bit the first time around and I was all, "whoa! He stopped drinking?" Yeah, he did.
As for Parker...I didn't see much of my father growing up. He worked in a whole different country, so, you know, kids aren't exactly forbidding when it comes to parents moving around.

Sides readers - was there originally a line in there where Jared says to Booth - I'll put it in a spoiler box just in case it pops up at another time...
It's just that led me to believe Jared's appearance would be a whole lot more thought provoking for Booth.

I know HeyLJ, I sorely missed that. However I think they wanted to leave things somewhat resolved between the brothers
- Spoiler:
- to pave the way for Jared's return in the finale

It makes sense. I love their relationship though, and how in the end Booth let him go on his own. Twas pretty cool.
Honestly, I'm still kind of waiting for a scene with all three Booth boys. But that might be too much to ask for.

Re: Beaver in the Otter – SHOW DISCUSSION
I loved seeing Brennan studying the bones again, pilot shout-out. I liked how Sweets didn't bother to tell Brennan how he is able to read people and know that Molly Briggs was the one who killed Beaver, it was kinda like a you don't believe in psychology anyway, so I'm just not going to bother since you just make fun of me anyways. Maybe Brennan will eventually come around to psychology is she wants to read people the way Booth and Sweets do. Hodgins and Vaziri bonding time haha. The end scene was great. At first I was thinking that D&D was the most un-Booth thing and then when I saw that he actually paid I was like ok phew! So sweet he let her believe that she had done something bad so her frontal lobe wouldn't be a dried up raisin. The chem prof was hysterical, reminded me a little of my chem prof. Decent ep.
I can't believe that the episodes that the entire season has been building to are in the next two weeks.
