Yeah..I'd pretty much have a migraine the entire visit if I didn't drink lots of water. Though I did enjoy playing at the lakes and springs he took us to. Oh and 6th st..liked that a lot!

I worked in Austin last summer... never made it to 6th st. Dehydration can happen pretty quickly. I worked at the lake, and if we didn't drink enough fluids, we felt it.

I love 6th st..we started at the comedy club one night and worked our way down one side of the street and up the other. Had one too many margaritas, but managed to avoid hangover the next morning. Of course I was only 21 then

I may have to make it down there this summer... Everyone loves it. Although I can only handle so much of the party scene and then I'm done...

Welcom to my world, just 90 miles south (and therefore hotter and more humid) than Austin. The other night it was 9:30 and still 85 degrees outside.

I've been there several times and it was sticky in the summer. I like the winters though. My friend lives there now and constantly reminds me in the winter how nice the evenings are...which is really mean.

It's not. It's dry and GREEN! We basically have nine months of summer here, in south Texas, and the other 3 seasons fight to divvy up the remaining 3 months.

no, but i did two last night and walked 4 miles in the process and then had work and dance class today... but i have the next three days totally free, which is good!!

I miss seasons. The Fall and Winter holidays sneak up on me without any anticipation because I don't have the "right" weather to coincide with them.

Not big on that either..we spent most of our time in the Jazz bars. Plus I was with my Dad and Stepmom. So not really a party hardy kind of evening. I like the little out of the way places that are condusive to chat and have good music.

at least you get a lot of summer... we get a lot of nondescript rain and generally icky weather...
