A lot at stake at TV upfronts: Still no deal in place at Fox to bring back ''Bones''

Post by Zeddie on Sat May 16, 2009 2:51 am

"Bones" is about to enter its fifth season, which usually reps the moment a show's license fee skyrockets as the studio looks to recoup its initial investment. And in this economic climate, the networks are looking to limit those big cost jumps as much as possible.

Even though Hart said everything would be fine and the show's ratings are good, I am still nervous.

Bones has given FOX a ratings boost on Thursdays and the finale even tied 'Survivor' in the 18-34 share. They would be downright stupid if they didn't renew it for another season. This is what I tell myself. But I am still nervous. Does anyone know whether other FOX shows have already been picked up for another full season; e.g. 'House'?

This is from Hart Hanson's Twitter

I truly believe that BONES'll be back for Season V. Business is business but there are very good relationships here and some smart people.

Do you think that they would cancel Fringe? I personally don't think that they would, but...

They had better NOT cancel Bones, I don't know how I could live if they did.
