I did all the automatic updates that were waiting, I updated IE and Firefox, and I cleaned my computer. I have no clue what else to try.
Wireless router? and if yes what type.
Um...linksys...do you need to know model? But like I said, it's only the aby, everything else works just fine.
I've had the exact same problem. and I have that router. I did two things. first I unplugged it for about 2 minutes. plugged it back in, then I pushed the button in the middle. It fixed my problem, after trying 400 other things it came down to simply doing that.
You know what the sad part is? I was gonna try that, but I didn't think that would be it, since all my other internet sites were working...*sigh* I really, really hate computers...

But thanks, sany...all seems to be fine now...

Say What You Want: Goodbye, dear ABY. You have been my home for 3 years now, and I am going to miss you. Thanks, willgirl, for creating this wonderful forum. *hugs to all*

Closing time - time for you to go back to the places you will be from.
Closing time - this room won't be open 'til your brothers or your sisters come.
So gather up your jackets, and move it to the exits - I hope you have found a friend.
Closing time - every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.

No prob fly. It's the linksys router. They have a very, very high firewall security and sometimes it does that to certain sites. I had to do the same thing when I got home today since it wouldn't let me into a fiction site I go to.

I'm sure bella can help you out with the cover story. Just keep it simple in case they ask for details.

yeah that's cisco for ya. They like high security, and from a business pov it makes sense. But they could dial it back a bit for home use. At least now you'll know what to do if it ever happens again.
