Yep, random is good. ^^ You guys gave me some good chucks there!

Tonight when I went out driving I saw two rabbits and two deer (does). It's been a little while since I've seen either of them.

Banyan VINES. I miss it, it was the first really decent network architecture and in a way we still have it with us in the form of AD and the legacy of VINES lives on, but I miss the real thing. Part of me wonders what our world would be like if the white hats had one a few in the early days. If DRI had been aggressive in protecting the CP/M and fought apple's lawsuit over GEM, if Banyan had managed to prevail over Novell and Micro$oft, if Apple had just done us all a real favor and dropped the proprietary bullshit that slowed down software development for the better part of a decade. I can't help thinking we'd live with a cleaner, more stable, more interesting PC world. It would definitely be more UNIX like, which I think is a good thing. Okay, that's all. It was just a random thought.

This picture just captures my imagination. But what really gets me is that when I look at it, I see the woman in the red dress as Emily... her hair, her neckline, her back, her figure, her gracefulness...

I love that painting is called "The Singing Butler" and you're right Sherry, I can totally see Emily in the woman dancing there.

Here's another painting of his, a littel, um, steamier. This one is entitled "Game On" and although neither the man nor woman resemble David and Emily, I can't help but see Booth & Brennan when I look at this painting (it must be the shipper in me!).

Not little, lot steamier. And I'll venture a guess ... "Serendipity".

I was sitting at the park this evening reading and the bullfrogs were just a croaking. It was a nice soundtrack!
