Sides for season 5

At the end of Act 5 or 6 we get "there is a pregnant pause between them as the realize things are back to normal" or something like that. Booth states that this is the part where they usually go for a drink. That suggests that things are not normal in the earlier part of the episode, including the kiss.

It feels like Booth is operating under a state of semi-amnesia where he thinks Brennan is his wife. For some reason Brennan is playing along - perhaps at the behest of Booth's neurologist, until Booth can regain his full memory. Something about the halting way she says “You saved me. Thank you.” It sounds very unBrennan-like. It’s as though she is trying to think of what a damsel-in-distress would say in such a situation.

The other thing that makes me think that is the psychic. She says "you want to know if 'Temperance' feels the same way you do". The fact that the psychic uses Brennan's first name instead of just saying "your partner" suggests that Booth thinks they have a more intimate relationship than they really do.

This sounds kind of contrived, and I’m not sold on it.

However, if part of playing along with Booth’s amnesia means that the two of them will be sharing a bed, I’m all for it.

I agree... seems contrived, so it seems possibly fake... I say possibly b/c there's a big chance that this is real...

But maybe I'm just over rationalizing. It's too good to be true.

Idk... There are a couple of things about these sides that make me suspicious:
first, the sides are usually casting sides and therefore we only used to get the ones were new characters were in. Notice how in the Gallo/Fargood sides script page 50 is included and there is no Gallo/Fargood line in it.
In the side with 'the kiss' there is also not one single line for the character of that 'Dr. Leacock'. Also, why are there so many sides w/ Cyndi Laupers character when she actually didn't have to be cast? She was supposed to play that part all along (I am willing to let that one go since they can 'try her out' in a casting situation.)
Plus, the whole scalpel-stabbing scene feels strange to me, idk.
So, I am thinking that parts of these sides are fake to throw us off...
Or Booth is dreaming again...
Not that I would mind if they were real.

Havent read the 'sides' yet, not sure if i want to because it sounds like I would want them to be real soooooo much, that if they weren't my heart might fail.

IF the kiss is real:
- it's an excellent way to ramp up the sexual tension, if they go back to 'normal', because they'll always want to do it.
- it pleases the fans who were pissed off with EITB
- it provides amazing trailer footage
- it starts S5 off with a bang. So to speak.

HH said there would be no sex in S5, didn't he? Did he say anything about kissing. I can get through S5 if there are lots of random hot kisses. Definitely.

DB said that Booth could still be hallucinating in S5 on 'This Morning' I think. It could just be what Booth would like to do.

Although giving us another 'fake' kiss... well, that really would be pushing it, don't you think?!

Do you remember when we read the sides of Double Death though and we were like, hmm, this 'feels odd' and it was word for word true? Yay! for that thought with regards to this!

Damn it, they've sucked me in again. And I was so high and mighty after the S4 finale. Damn it.

Oh no! You're not fooling us again HH! Here's what we're gonna do:

1) Consider the fact that the sides aren’t real.
2) Hold off all celebrations until we're sure that the page with the kiss on somehow hasn't been inconspicuously inserted into the real sides.
3) Take into account that as Mad Dr Leacock is chasing after Brennan with a scalpel it could in fact be a magic scalpel that can slice through time and space...and could have opened up a parallel universe in which the kiss takes place.

What HAS The End in the Beginning done to us all?

Now at this link there is only the link to spoilertv and the post that has been there this morning is gone. And the spoilertv-link to the sides doesn't work (at least for me). The page doesn't load (neither Firefox nor IE) Does anyone else find that strange and suspicious (paranoia) or is it just the internet letting me down?

hmm i think maybe they've slipped that in there to throw us off.or what i think is more likely...booth has a teeny little sexy hallucination...

I've been reading some of the other comments here and elsewhere and having a giggle.
No-one trusts anything/anyone anymore, especially Hart. I feel like Mulder.
HH really blew fan's trust to smithereens with the EITB, it seems like.

Showfax indicates that there are indeed sides available for episode Harbingers in the Fountain.
So at least we know that is the working title of the eppy and there are some sides available. Whether we have seen the actual sides or not remains to be seen.
And of course, HH and the gang can change things around completely before the episode airs.

I'm not sure about that, but I do know she's got a recurring role on Better Off Ted, which shouldn't interefere with her work on Bones.

Now here's my issue with the sides - Hart Hanson fucking hates me! Sorry for the language but that's how I feel, and why do you ask? I'll tell you why, because there are only three possible outcomes that I can see from these sides, two out of the three ain't good and the third isn't bad, hell it isn't much of anything.

• Outcome #1 - it's all a big head fake, put there to stir up interest but the scenes will never see the light of day - I call this the most likely scenario because it has all the hallmarks of an HH head fake. I hate him.

• Outcome #2 - it's real, it gets filmed, but then at the last minute the scene is cut or edited or presented in such a way as to diminish it's meaning - Booth day dreamin' about kissing Brennan anyone? That would be worse than no kiss at all IMO. This is definitely a possibility, a strong #2 contender because it too has all the hallmarks of an HH head fake. I'd actually hate him more at this point.

• Outcome #3 - it's real, it gets filmed, and it isn't fake. They kiss, they share a real moment and they share a real, non-puckish prosecture induced kiss with real feelings. Feelings which are then never addressed in subsequent episodes and this kiss, much like the mistletoe kiss, becomes another scene for the gag-reel that is the B&B romance by HH. I think this would actually kill me, to offer a glimpse of something so meant to be and then have it neglected like that? Definitely kill me. I fear this outcome the most.

The problem is that the damage is done. It's in the sides. The kiss has happened for me now and can't be undone. So unless there's a chance he's really going for outcome #4 - the kiss is real, has ramifications, they're dealt with and the couple grows closer and more intimate because of it - then I'm in hell for season five. I've already made a conscious decision to embrace the suck that will be season five, now the man is torturing me. I hate him, he really is taking days off my life.

Would HH really be so stupid as to pull a fake kiss again? I have to question his sanity if he does!! That's why I'm going for #3 of your options as being the most likely... although I would rather #4. That would be awesome.

I need to roll around in more (fluffy) awesome fanfic I think. That's my plan for tonight anyway.
