I second this, all she ever gets is scratchs flesh wounds, we never even see her admitted to the hospital!!

Do we want a really evil recurring villain next season as well?
If someone has to get kidnapped, who should it be?! ha ha.

Re: Season 5 wishlist...
Actually I'm of two minds on the evil recurring villain concept. I don't really feel the need for one but if we do get one I want the villain to be a collector, and I want the case to be one that pops up early and doesn't get solved in one or two episodes, but drags on in the background as the solve case after case until late in the season when one of the team is kidnapped and placed in jeopardy - actually if we're doing this we should be looking at character death, one of the recurrings (Cam, Jack, Angela, Sweets) should die.HeyLJ wrote:Do we want a really evil recurring villain next season as well?

Sort of what Gormogon was supposed to be?
Not a bad thought though, except maybe for the character death. I vote Sweets if anyone has to die! What can I say, I like Cam better than him. Threat to Parker (threat only) and make Booth insane as well in this scenario.

Exactly what Gormogon was supposed to be and would have been but for the strike shortened third season - and I still think Sweets made a better apprentice than Zach.dawnsfire wrote:THX1138 wrote:Actually I'm of two minds on the evil recurring villain concept. character death sells it though, or at least some sort of mortal danger - definitely mortal danger, in which case we could have Angela and Sweets kidnapped together and then of course the two could get 'closer', I mean Sweets has a thing for her and it could serve as the push Jack needs to get off his ass and go after her again. Thoughts? Ideas? Not a bad thought though, except maybe for the character death. I vote Sweets if anyone has to die! What can I say, I like Cam better than him. Re: Season 5 wishlist...
ah character deaths? i dont think im ready for that. i feel like they just killed off Zack and he really was only kicked out of the picture.
i think sweets adds a good dynamic to the show as well. as do most of the characters. it would be difficult to kill one off. this show doesnt have 20 million characters like heroes or lost.
i kind of like the recurring bad guys. but only if it doesnt consume the entire show.

Re: Season 5 wishlist...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but not counting Sweets, Angela is the only one to not get kidnapped/shot/almost die in some other way. Not that I want her to or anything, but still.
I'd like to see more Bren/Ange interactment, especially with recent developments in Brennan's whole emotional spectrum. You know those two have to be talking now, they're supposed to be friends but we never really see that.
As far as kidnappings or people getting hurt, I know they probably wouldn't do it, but I kind of wonder how the team would cope without BOTH Booth and Brennan. I know they were trapped in tSitP and all, but I'm talking for an extended period of time. It would give them time to hash some stuff out (and no, they don't have to go all M-rated. Geez, what do you take me for?
)...and the squints have to work to save them, and also...though Anthropology wouldn't play an important factor, the intern on rotation at the time *cough*WENDELL*cough* could maybe figure something out that would help and would maybe push Brennan to make that final decision. (I'm not biased, I swear.
)
Brennan should be the one who goes in the hospital, if it has to be between her and Booth. He's always the one who gets hospitalized and all, and I think we should you know...let him be the one sitting there holding her hand (because face it, you so know he would)...and worrying his guts out.
Oh and also...maybe nothing monumental has to happen (and it probably won't given the fact that Hart knows he has two years to play with)...but can we get actually admittance of feelings and acknowledgement of the elephant in the room please? I love BB fluff as much as the next fangirl, but there's only so much so not freaking vieled references and eye!sex my BB lovin' heart can take.

Actually Cam, Angela, and Sweets - maybe they can all be taken hostage together?MoonlightGardenias wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong, but not counting Sweets, Angela is the only one to not get kidnapped/shot/almost die in some other way. Not that I want her to or anything, but still.
I'd love to see that too, but I think we want different things. I'd love for it to be a bonding experience where Angela goes the extra step to get Brennan's favorite everything only to find out that she doesn't really know her anymore (Merlot? Thanks Ange but I really could go for a beer right now. Booth always gets this one brand... Or Cherry Garcia? You didn't bring any Rocky Road did you? Booth always makes me a dish of that with caramel sauce and toated almonds...).I'd like to see more Bren/Ange interactment, especially with recent developments in Brennan's whole emotional spectrum. I agree but do you know how much guilt he'll go through then? He'll pull back behind that damned line again to protect her. Ugh.Brennan should be the one who goes in the hospital, if it has to be between her and Booth. He's always the one who gets hospitalized and all, and I think we should you know...let him be the one sitting there holding her hand (because face it, you so know he would)...and worrying his guts out.
A-freakin'-MEN. And as a B&B fanboy let me just say - KISS HER YOU ASS! To Booth, followed by a hearty COWBOY UP AND TELL HER YOU LOVE HER ALREADY! Yeesh.Oh and also...maybe nothing monumental has to happen (and it probably won't given the fact that Hart knows he has two years to play with)...but can we get actually admittance of feelings and acknowledgement of the elephant in the room please? Re: Season 5 wishlist...
Yeah, Cam did almost die. I saw that episode the other day. When Epps died.
Yeah, you know...I feel in some ways Booth has replaced Ange as Brennan's BFF. Which is fine, you know to move them along. But like in The Verdict in the Story we saw Angela actually sit in a cell because she refused to testify. That's a testament to a friendship they supposedly have and yet we never see.
And yes, we KNOW Booth loves her. He knows. I know this is shooting my hope up wicked high (channeling Sweets here)...but if we get an actual I Love You? I can die happy.
Also, re:the whole Brennan almost dies and Booth back up emotionally speaking. IF that happened, I'd really like Brennan to be like "No. You don't get to push me away, not NOW." Or something. Yeah...I'm wishing too much.

That's right, when Epps messed about and Booth put down the line. How on earth could I forget that one? Yeesh, senior moment here.i_heart_bones wrote:no cam nearly died...remember?? in the man in the cell.
Re: Season 5 wishlist...
Well, when you're 108, Rob, you're permitted to slip up a time or two...
And your take on Angela finding out how far she's been displaced as Brennan's best friend--well, she has been rather wrapped up in some heavy-duty personal drama this past year (whatever we may think of it). That's the sort of thing that would escape anyone in those circumstances, I'd think. Maybe it should be along the lines of Oh, I haven't had Cherry Garcia in a long time; Booth's been making me Rocky Road with caramel sauce and toasted almonds, and I've developed a taste for it... (they did have sundaes after one case, right?) And how should Angela react to something like that? Would she jockey for position, try to make it up to Brennan, or simply let it go and work with Booth (a la many fanfics) to keep Brennan happy & on an even keel?
As for the threat to the team--I think you're right about Booth stepping back if Brennan was seriously hurt. There's a line...
But it might be beneficial for Sweets to come close to serious trouble. A maturing experience, perhaps? He thinks he's got all these answers, but when looking down the barrel of a gun or kidnapped, he finds out there's a lot of stuff he's not as equipped to handle as his "patients." I really think they need to drop him asking most of all those damn probing questions and let him just profile for the most part. He's written his book, he's released B&B from formal observation, so there's no further need for that.

Yeah, that was my thought too. Between breaking up with Hodgins, reuniting with Roxie then putting her heart out there only to have it broken again, and finally going on a sex sabbatical, Angela's been busy. Of course that would be the point of having a scene where Booth supplants her as the best friend, to remind her she can't take Brennan for granted. BTW, They did indeed have sundaes after one case (though they switched to beer before finishing them) and I love your scene rendition too, better than mine in fact. Speaking of beer - Brennan started out as a wine drinker (season one), notice now she prefers beer, and not that funky import crap of S2, now she's drinking domestic microbrews. That's Booth's influence. And your take on Angela finding out how far she's been displaced as Brennan's best friend--well, she has been rather wrapped up in some heavy-duty personal drama this past year (whatever we may think of it). See that's a good one, Sweets getting kidnapped...or better yet, Sweets and Brennan getting kidnapped. Brennan using her intelligence and resourcefulness to help Booth find them, also displaying her unshakeable faith in Booth finding them both. Also, Booth riding to the rescue and showing Sweets what a little can happen when you judiciously apply a little violence to solve the situation. It'd be awesome if Sweets not only got to see how they click as a team under pressure, but since he's so sure Booth is violent, letting him see how controlled use of violence can save people. As for the threat to the team--I think you're right about Booth stepping back if Brennan was seriously hurt. Me likey Dark Booth.

What's not to like? And Booth is a violent man--just watch how often he comes close to losing it in S1. He just has excellent control for the most part.
