I still have plenty of ties there - a brother, my mom's side of the family, and my nephew's family.A2BOREANAZ wrote:i live in michigan.......1,623 miles away from where i would be going.......oh the warm weather...........no snow.......i am really seriously thinking about it.......DBCrazy wrote:A2BOREANAZ wrote:good evening to you both...........how are things..........
i sent in a resume for some foodservice job........i really dont know what its for.....hope i hear about it tomorrow.........have an application to fill out to work at the air base........have no idea what the job would be......and my niece has once again mentioned moving to san antonio.........but my car wouldnt make it that far....so i would have to sell it........that would be a good thing.....would give me cash to get a place right away.......but leaves me without a vehicle......or i could use that to put a downpayment on another vehicle when i get to texas.........the job at the airbase......will start around $12 an hour.........in texas.......i have no idea what i will be getting into.........but i do want to leave michigan...........now what would you do??????
Hi Cup!! This is exciting!!!! I'm an air force brat, born and bred. I love AF bases!
$12 full time?? That'd be a nice upgrade?
Whereabouts are you now that you might move to San Antonio?
The culture shock from Michigan to Texas might be pretty significant, but you sound like you'd welcome a nice, new adventure! Am I right? ... and the no snow, is a fantastic part of living in the deeper south!

I...have never seen snow live. I went to North Carolina to see a friend, and it was supposed to snow but didn't until like two days after I left. Living in Florida, it's next to never that I'll see snow fall from the sky.
Re: I Hart Booth Fan Club
i am scared to death to do it.....even though my niece and her family are there.....but yes......i would love to go to a place....where absolutely no one knows me.....kinda like starting with a clean slate.......just start over........and make better choices.......really cant do that in a small city where everyone knows you........DBCrazy wrote:I was born in Amarillo, Texas. Jay! You have an internet connection, dear. Always, know before you go, otherwise all you have the possibility of doing is what THEY want to do. If you look for yourself you can at least make a request ... if there's something. I'd love to go to Williamsburg!hy6110327 wrote:Virginia. I have no clue about the houses lol!DBCrazy wrote:Virginia? Re: I Hart Booth Fan Club
It was really fun! the room we were in had windows that we could see right into the Rogers Center so we could watch the game live without buying tickets. the only problem was that the room had this wall inbetween the windows so it was smaller but we got a different room the next day. on Friday, the Jays lost but yesterday and today they won. we watched yesterday's game from our room and today's game in the Rogers Center. Doc pitched the whole game and it was fun! that was it... and yes you spelt it righthy6110327 wrote:Hi court! How was Toronto? Did I spell that right?
