Ella,

You asked in the Inkslinger what an eco-warrior is ...

Here's a nice link:
[Only admins are allowed to see this link]

The jist of it is ... environmental activist that adopts a 'hands on' effort to save or salvage a plot of land, or to advance some ecological ideology.

That's one way to look at it - I stil prefer my definition: Spoiled poseur rich kids who protest corporate america while living off a trust fund set up for them by mommy & daddy. See also trustafarian and trendist.

So, I see you've already started warming up for tomorrow night! You do know that you're speaking ill of your beloved Temperance Brennan, don't you?

And I did look up those words in the Urban Dictionary... Rolling Eyes LOL.

Nothing to do with her wardrobe, but something to do with the Animal Acres Gala, and her stance on the environment. I hadn't noticed the fine print in Robert's post, so I wondering why you put your question in the Inkslinger!

Actually I speak ill of eniromental poseurs. Brennan is a commtted enviromentalist and, despite her wealth, tends to follow through on her beliefs. It would be more accurate to say that I'm speaking ill of those who immitate my beloved Temperance Brennan (and Emily, of course) and not them per se. To paraphrase an old greek fart, it is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain an opposing view point without accepting it.
And I did look up those words in the Urban Dictionary... Rolling Eyes LOL.
Those two were freebies - I'm a contributor to the Urban Dictionary - but every one after that will cost you a nickel.

Anyone care to guess what old greek fart I was referncing there? Hint: He was a bugger for the bottle.

I see that somewhere on the internet that I go quite often, but I don't recall where it is. I do however know the answer ... Aristotle. I hope I have a bit of that ability too; I'm just not sure how much though.

You do fine in that category Sherry, I just wanted everyone to understand I wasn't knocking Temperance who's no poseur. (Nor is Emily for that matter). Very Happy
