Reichs Intervenes in Writing of Script

"Kathy Reichs could no doubt go into painstaking, pointy-headed detail when discussing why she recently felt the need to intervene in the writing of a script for the hit TV show Bones."

Wonder what it was that she got changed?

Well isn't she part of the process for reading scripts anyway? Like they'll come to her and ask "is this possible?" or things such as that? So I don't see why her intervening is such a big deal.

But my guess is there was probably something related to the remains or the case was deemed inaccurate or something.

In the article she called it "silly", whatever that might have been. They also made it sound like working with the folks at Bones didn't get their feathers all ruffled about it either. That's good.

If she called it 'silly' it had to be a writer's concept for either discovering the murder victim's remains, cause of death, or something like that. As an author herself I can't see her really dumping on the writers for anything other than a gross exageration of scientific fact. As it is the show's science, while occasionally iffy, is usually pretty solid. Much better than the technomagic of CSI Miami, I mean, does Horation Caine actually even nee science or does he just use his magic sunglasses to solve ever case?

I have issues with them too!
the guy walks in removes the sunglasses, puts them back on, removes them again and all of a sudden knows who the murderer is
that's just dumb

At least she will not have to intervene in the 2nd to last script of this season.
