Would winning $100 help??

Post by DBCrazy on Sat Oct 17, 2009 11:11 am

I'm sure that none of us out here would turn up our nose at a chance to win $100, especially when it's terribly easy. So I thought I'd post this.

A local radio station plays The John Tesh Show every weekday morning from 6 to 10AM. Yesterday I heard them advertise this game where you can win $100. Every day he'll announce a new Word of the Day, and all you have to do is go on his website and use that word in a sentence. Something pretty cool is what they're looking for. Best sentence for each word gets $100. That's all there is to it!!

I figured with all the writers we have around here that surely somebody could score some money. I heard the word Thursday - it was ORNATE, but I didn't hear it Friday morning. Sorry.

Here's the link to submit your sentence:
The John Tesh Word-of-the-Day Contest

I'll drop in everyday and post the word when I hear it. If anybody else listens to this show and they hear the word, they're more than welcome to post it too since I could easily miss it since I'm not always in my car during that time.

Good luck!!

I don't know about that, ToZ. Couldn't hurt to check. Maybe, maybe not!

Anyway, I finally heard them announce a word this morning. Today's word is IMMUTABLE. The sample sentence he gave was something like "My policy on candy is immutable; if it's not chocolate I don't want it!"
