For those who haven't watched since day 1
For those who haven't watched since day 1 what was the first episode you saw and your first memory of the show?
I am a since day 1 viewer one of the many who followed David from Angel. One of the many if after Bones David's next show was "David Boreanaz eats a chicken sandwich" I'd watch.

Re: For those who haven't watched since day 1
I will tell my conversion story
I work on a podcast that honors Firefly called The Signal. For years they had been telling me that I needed to watch Buffy and Angel - since they were also Joss Whedon creations.
I complied finally this spring and started watching Buffy. When it got to the point where Angel had his own show, I started watching them in "character order" so I could see how the stories fit together.
All of this was online streaming. I didn't own any of the dvds. So I finished the first season of angel (and third? forth? season of Buffy) and could find no more episodes online. My cousin said that she would send them to me (still haven't seen those) and I needed more David.
So I started looking for Bones online. Eventually I found a good streaming sight and began at the beginning... so the Pilot was my first episode. Over the course of the next month I started taping them all on TNT (eventually had them all on my DVR at one time - since deleted since season 4 is in my grubby paws now) and bought the first four seasons on DVD.
Thus, I am now obsessively addicted to the show!

Re: For those who haven't watched since day 1
The first episode I saw was the Christmas episode from season one. I also saw the end of season 3...the very first few minutes of the finale. I thought it was a pretty good show then, but I didn't get hooked on it until a few months later when I watched a rerun of the episode with little Andy in it. Then I was hooked. >;D
I caught up with watching all of the episodes by using Hulu and a few other websites...mostly Chinese ones since I couldn't find the episodes anywhere else...then later I finally invested in buying myself Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD. <3 <3 <3

First episode I saw a good chunk of was the first episode of season 3 ( in a rerun), I didn't see it all but it intruiged me enough to go buy the first 2 seasons and watch the show in order.

i watched the pilot episode when it first aired in the UK as i had seen the adverts/trailers for it and thought it looked pretty good! needless to say i got hooked and until the end of S2 i watched on tv with the uk airings....
then the channel it is shown on was removed from my tv package and seeing as it was the parents that paid i could not get it reinstated and i have been watching it online ever since and reliving the glory in the from of S1 S2 and S3 dvds... shortly to be joined by S4 when it finally comes out on DVD over here...

The first episode I saw was somewhere in the end of season 3. I then wondered all summer what was going to happen after Gormagon, so I watched the S4 premiere and then decided to watch the previous season through online sites.

I had wanted to watch it from the beginning, but I had one of the most irregular work schedules, and the store always seemed to schedule me that night. I locked in somewhere during S3 (missed Mummy b/c of a dr's appt), but had seen some of the earlier epis along the way--Man with the Bone might have been the 1st.

Re: For those who haven't watched since day 1
My first episode was girl in the fridge, with Stires and the court case, and Booth forcing her to talk about her parents in court.
It was all very intruiging when I had no idea what this show was. I had seen billboards in the train stations that had some bones and david and emily on them and said something like "he has the questions, she has the bones, together they solve crimes". clearly I'm paraphrasing, it was better than that, but I hadn't got around to watching it yet.
After that it was something I tended to watch on a thursday night if I was in. So I watched the first season on and off. By the second season I was a pretty regular viewer where college allowed me time. The thid season, I would carve out time to watch it, and make sure I wouldn't miss it. Same with the fourth.
At the beginning of the third season I was given a present of the first two series, and I would say my real love of the characters came from the rewatchings.
I am looking forward to probably receiving the fourth season this christmas! (my boyfriend gave me 1+2 two years ago. 3 last year. I am assuming 4 will follow. He's nothing if not predicatable. And lovely)

Re: For those who haven't watched since day 1
The first episode I watched was The Woman at the Airport. Ironically, I had never watched American Idol before, but for some reason decided to watch that night, and saw a preview for Bones; it was the scene with them in the car, and she wanted to drive, then she was driving and he was sitting there looking sullen. My first thought was, 'that looks funny', my second thought was, 'man, he's freakin' hot'! So the next night, I tuned in...and I haven't missed an episode since. That's also how I got hooked on House...during that first ep of Bones, I saw a preview for House, and had to watch that. And the rest is history...
So American Idol isn't all bad...it got at least one Bones fan hooked...lol

Re: For those who haven't watched since day 1
I didn't start watching Bones until the beginning of the fourth season, after having found David in Angel at the beginning of the summer, and developing an incredible obsession for him.
But your question was "what was the first episode you saw and your first memory of the show?"
So, I'm watching the DVDs to catch up and a few bits and pieces looked familiar when I saw them. I think The Skull in the Desert with Booth and Brennan in the cabin was the first thing that I'd seen, but I never did get hooked on it. I just didn't watch anything on FOX back then. I also recall the previews they ran when the show first started, and thought the show sounded really good, but again, I didn't watch FOX.
I do now though, and totally glad of it!

Re: For those who haven't watched since day 1
I only have a vague memory of my first episode of Bones. It was in the middle of season 1 and I remember going straight to my computer and attempting to look up the dvds on Amazon because I thought it must have been on for a couple of years. (After 15 mins, I realized that this WAS the first season).
Re: For those who haven't watched since day 1
I was ironing in the afternoon and had Sky One on and 'The Graft in the Girl' came on. I'd seen bits and pieces before, the Stephen Fry episodes had been mentioned to me by my husband, but I'd never actually sat down and watched a proper episode. I think the ending of 'The Stargazer in the Puddle' sparked my interest too, as there was mention of a will-they-won't-they relationship and I'm a sucker for them.
Anyway, I watched that one and then the next day watched another episode and I was hooked. I have to love Sky One for that. They show an episode every day, plus an episode on Sky Two, so I can watch all the Bones I want.
Got hooked, obsessively watched the top episodes first as proclaimed by TV.com and the shippy ones, then worked my way through them all. I watch a couple every day, although I'm usually just listening more than actively watching now because I've seen them so many times. Obsessed. Yes.

I stumbled upon it by accident, I was flipping through channels and I saw this show and I thought what a stupid name for a TV Show, "Bones" I was with my boyfriend at the time and I was like , "Maybe the show stars only skeletons" and my boyfriend said, aren't all shows a cast of skeletons? And I was like no you idiot, I meant no flesh skeletons... Anyways, we watched the episode and the next thing I know I was hooked... I ended up getting the 1st season for christmas!

Re: For those who haven't watched since day 1
By best friend watched basically from day 1...and I made fun of her for it. Like, I'd make her shut up whenever she started talking about it and whine because it was stupid. Then I was bored one Wednesday night, turned on Fox, caught some SUPER SMOKING GUY solving crimes (Thank you, David.
) and kept watching even once I realized it was "that show". Once that episode (Blond in the Game) was finished, I went on to youtube where someone had thankfully uploaded the preceding S1 episodes. I continued watching S2, got my S1 DVDs in short order and have been officially obsessed with Bones ever since!
