"Michaela Conlin (Allentown native, stars in TV's ''Bones''): ''Definitely 'The Shining.' All I have to see are those two little girls standing in the hallway and I'm scared. It's not the blood and gore, it's the psychological horror that gets to me. That movie totally bugged me out.''

Damn scary movie when it came out. You know I saw that movie when it first came out. I was 12 and my cousins decided to take me with them since they were too chicken to watch it by themselves. That's right, two women age 25 taking their 12 year old cousin to see an R-rated horror movie because they were too afraid to go by themselves. It worked out about how you'd expect.

Damn skippy. Not just that I was the only one to stay and watch the whole thing. Sure, it gave me nightmares for about a month, but hey, still "the man".

You have no idea. Still if it helps Michaela out I'd gladly hold her hand during a screening of that movie. Honestly, as scary as it was I didn't care for the way they cast Wendy Torrance. Shelly Duvall is best known for being Olive Oil and if you've read the book Wendy Torrance was no Olive Oil. Now in the late 90's USA Network did a mini-series adaptation, I think it was produced by Stephen King, where Rebecca De Mornay played Wendy and the guy from Wings was Jack Torrance. De Mornay was so much better than Shelly Duvall but the movie itself, while truer to the book, was not nearly as terrifying.

I wonder if Michaela has read the book or just seen the movie.
