3 AM Knock Not Always Bad

Seeley Booth was sound asleep in his bed having another dream about his partner of almost 5 years, Temperance Brennan.

And it was the usual stuff when it came to those dreams. And they weren't watching A Very Jim Belushi Christmas.

It was always of them together in bed and doing things that he figured would always only live in his dreams.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door.

He got his gun because he always got his gun when people knocked on his door at 3 am.

He shouted "Who is it?"

He heard the voice he had been dreaming of answer but quietly "It's me Bones. I need to tell you something before I lose my nerve"

Booth answered the door to find his partner standing there wearing a long coat despite the temperature being nice.

He asked "What do you need to tell me?"

She answered "I finally got up the nerve to tell you after all this time and being a stubborn mule for too long that I love you"

Part 2:

Booth stood there in complete shock for a few minutes and Brennan got scared and said "I'm sorry. I shocked you. I'll go. I shouldn't have done this. You made it clear you think of me in an attagirl way."

And she turned to leave and finally Booth got out of his stupor and took her hand and led her into his apartment.

He sat her down on his couch and sat next to her and took her hands in his.

Finally he said, "Bones I was in shock. All of the sudden the moment I've dreamt of for so long was happening. I am the one who's been trying to get up the courage to say those words to you. I love you so much. I have for so long I wonder if it's been since the day we met."

He pulled her to him and she said, "I'm glad I finally did get the courage. I decided tonight I've waited long enough. I've loved you for so long just took me a long time to realize it."

They just looked into each others eyes for another few moments and finally he put one hand on the back of her head and the other under her chin and lifted her lips to his and kissed her.

It was first gentle and exploratory on both their parts, just enjoying the moment. But the passion began to grow as he moved his hands to her waist and she wrapped her arms around his back and their tongues clashed and mingled.

They pulled apart after a few minutes both breathing heavily and Booth asked "What are you wearing under your coat?"

She said, "I thought you'd never ask"

And she stood up and took off her coat to reveal a baby doll nightie that left very little to the imagination.

Then she took his hand and said, "It's a good thing it's Saturday. We need all the time we'll have until Monday for you to prove your theory to me."

Booth asked, even though he knew, "Which theory is that?"

Brennan answered "That two can become one. I want you to make love to me."

Booth said, "You don't have to ask twice"

He picked her up in his arms and carried her to the bedroom........

Chapter 3:

Both stood there lost in the moment.

It was the moment they had waited 5 years for. In a way they had both waited their lifetimes for.

Neither had ever felt this way before. Yes they had had relationships and with good people but it wasn't like this.

Not built on a long term friendship, not built on trust and caring that was built for 5 years.

Not a friendship that caught fire until it was about consume them both if they waited any longer.

Yes they could have made moves sooner but the wait brought them to this moment.

Booth gently laid Brennan on the bed after removing the nightie and explored her from head to toe with his lips and his hands touching every part of her and bringing her to heights she had never even come close to before.

Then it was his turn as Brennan turned the tables on him and then they joined their bodies and reached a height neither knew was possible before as they proved to each other two could become one, there was a difference between crappy sex and making love and they broke every law of physics ever existed including a few they created that night themselves.

Afterwards they lay together in a peaceful sleep their hearts and minds at rest, ready to face the future together.

Mmmmmm, Booth thanking me personally.................excuse me while i pick my mind up from the gutter!
