The End in the Beginning = this season?

Post by agnerka81 on Fri Nov 13, 2009 3:09 am

So I was just over on another site dedicated to all things BONES, and someone put forth and idea that has my brain spinning! Take the last episode of last year (The End in The Beginning) and apply it to the episodes this year. The reverse necktie experience a la Tough Man in the Tender Chicken being one example. Just curious what other peoples thoughts were on this topic, placed it in the spoilers section just to be safe! Cool

Hmmm. So in TEitB Brennan helps Booth tie a tie, and in TMitTC she unties his tie - both very intimate acts between a man and woman. In that case we had sex between Booth and Brennan toward the beginning of TEitB, that would mean B&B will get nekkid and intimate toward the end of the season? I can live with that.

I think HH himself has said that some of the things that happened in TEitB forshadow things that occur this year.... I can't remember when exactly I read that quote but it was over the summer.

I think that there is definitely something to this whole idea. I IMMEDIATELY thought of TEitB when she took off his tie. My hubby even picked up on it and he is an occasional Bones watcher. If HH handles this well and plants bits and pieces of TEitB throughout the season, the payoff will be amazing. One possible plant I can think of: have Brennan grab onto Booth just like she did when they saw the body in the bathroom in TEitB. Brennan wouldn't get squeamish over a body, obviously, but she could be startled by something during an investigation and she could just instinctually grab onto him. I would watch THAT over and over again.

I definitely think you guys are onto something here, and HH did say there would be things happening this season that would harken back to tEitB, so basically I'm perfectly okay if we have to wait until the end of the season so long as they actually do manage to get together. With all the clues and nuances that have been put in place so far this season in seems inevitable, but with these people they could just be playing a really cruel mind game.

I heard that Booth and Brennan will be a couple by the end of the season, so thats possible? I think with a guarantee season 6 it will be a good time to experiment with then dating. Smile

I like that people are beginning to tell them that they love each other. Note how he never straight up said "I DON'T LOVE HER" (Brennan has though, but I think that was on the defense and a cover up) he said that she didn't love him, but he's never said, I don't love her. Smile I think thats awesome. Very Happy

If it comes to that you won't have trouble catching him. Men without kneecaps tend to move slower than normal...

Kneecaps as in patellae, as in the two of these:

Preferred method of removal would involve a golf club (pitching wedges do nicely) or the old stand-by, a tire iron. The tire iron as the advantage of being readily available in the boot (or trunk) of almost any car. I'm rather fond of the old fashioned tire iron and find the ones with an angled head to be particularly effective since the 45° angle practically guarantees you're swinging through the stroke and that means the trailing lug head will impact with maximum force. You get a neat bisection almost every time.

Why Toz, I'm confused, I mean surely you'd picked up on that by now? Anyway I don't think of myself as necessarily evil, just someone with a certain moral flexibility, a skill at wreaking havoc and a lack of scruples when it comes to same. Really, I'm trying to be a team player here - I mean it'll make it so much easier for meegs to track HH down if he's using a walker. Wink

Hey, if it comes to that don't worry - I know a guy who knows a guy who can get you a deal - simple assault? No prison time at all Toz, I guarantee it.

I'll throw in a slap for ya, Toz. Wink But, for some reason, I'm feeling that I won't be needing to go on a tirade. A little birdie tells me everything is going to be just fine. Smile
