i love her as wonder woman. true the costume isn't as real as the original but i like hers better my question is....how on earth did david and the other not stare at her very obvious cleavage all day long? I'm a straight female and I can't help but be drawn to it lol I wonder how many times they had to re-do takes so the boys would look at her face and not her chest

I hear ya', Emily is plenty distracting all on her own, I can't imagine having to hold a coherent thought in my head while she's dressed like this:

I think she stands out in today's anorexic/fake tanned/bleach blonde hollywood and that makes her seem even more beautiful to me. Everytime I see her I think she could would have fit in back in old hollywood right next to hepburn and garbo.

Positively! I say that all the time, it's what I love about Emily - she's real, natural, not fake. She has a figure, she has good hair days, bad hair days, she doesn't wear a lot of make-up, she's the total opposite of the Hollwood starlet.

And it's interesting how you mention her fitting in along side with Hepburn and Garbo, since I've often thought she has an almost Veronica Lake look:

Oh, I miss the season 1 look. I LOVED the season 1 look, along with season 2. Although, the costuming in season 1 was a bit "showy", if you know what I mean...

I hope you're right, because I positively love that look. I've always had a thing for Veronica Lake, it's the hair. She always wore it off one side of her face and that look works for Em, it really does.

See, and I loved S1 costuming for exactly that reason. "Showy" yep, good way to describe it. For example, I really liked this look:

It's really the perfect look for her, bare shoulder, exposed neck, the hair's good too - I love the formal ponytail look, and here it's done to perfection though it's too austere IMO for this dress. I think a better choice here would be a chignon or, of course, the Veronica Lake "peekaboo" pinned back on the off side.

Okay, I'm like one more comment from losing my man card so boobies

Yeah something along the lines of that. What I was more meaning, (if you have the Season 1+2 companion) Brennan on the front cover, on the table of contents, and on the PILOT page...

But, they toned it down by season 2.

That dress was terrible--I haven't cared for when they dress her formal...
Let me explain before the King starts summoning executioners--I do so much better with my head attached to my shoulders! The top part works well on her, yes, but I'm of 2 minds on the style of the skirt--the whole dress is rather bridesmaid-like--but the execution here was blech! And I would have to agree the low ponytail is too austere for the dress. I'd like to see it with something else--different neck at least, less formal at best?

And I have always found it interesting that she's wearing an angel pendant, considering her stance on religion.

I'm not very religous, but, I have angel pendants... So I don't think it has much to do with religion, it's just a pretty necklace...

Ah my Queen, we are neither so base nor common that we would execute thee for thy rightful and correct views on the poofy dress. We are not fans of it either, and thou shouldst note that we show the garment from the bustline up only - t'was the smooth line of fair Emily's shoulders that drew our attention, the sublime turn of her delicate neck that held it fast. Otherwise as you so aptly noted, the top half is acceptably pleasing, save the funky frills on the front of the bodice. The rest is a little...Sandra Dee for my taste. I mean, I'd swear all it's missing is a crinoline petticoat to complete the embarrassment that is that dress...BUT the bodice is nice and the neckline/bustline works for her.

Now if you wanted to change the neckline I've always thought a sweetheart neckline is nice on Emily, we've seen that several times this season and it accentuates her bust, exposes the right amount of skin, and works well with her body type. Oddly enough while I prefer the open look of the sweetheart, the more conservative bateau and portrait style would definitely work for her too. In fact a nice black and white A-Line dress with a portrait neckline would be sexy as hell. See, it's shit like that that costs me the man card.

Thank you, they only cost $15 to replace but I lose them so often, and I'm cheap.

I'm gonna go with, "She thought it was pretty" as my first choice, and "The sales girl said it went with the dress" for my second. Otherwise it really doesn't make sense.

the dress isn't my fav...but why can't brennan dress more like THAT lol although it would probably be too camish I imagine. I like the top of the dress but the middle makes it look like she's hiding something and I'm not too fond of that. She has hips....real woman....hard to find in fake ass hollywood hips....if ya got it flaunt it! firedevil
