ROFLOL!!!
Oh, show, don't ever change. I love you.
Haha that was hysterical. My favorite line though was
- Spoiler:
- Mikey: Yeah Sam, have you ever heard of the Banana Fish Bar?
Sam: Uh yeah, it's a bar.

Not to mention the immortal

- Maddie: Sam, would you still love me if I switched to autumn colors?
Sam: Yes, but not as much.
Also, I have a question (spoilers for the last scene of the latest ep -character- not plot-related)
- Spoiler:
- I've seen a rather ... heated reaction to Fi slapping Michael in the episode. Apparently some folks think it's unnecessary and repetitive (and I think, beneath it all, maybe some feel it's violent?) for a couple to express themselves in those terms. Normally I wouldn't disagree, but in this particular case, am I the only one who sees it as perfectly normal? I mean, this is Fi and Michael, not Joe and Jane Doe. They are meant to be dysfunctional. They have a history of beating the crap out of each other (lovingly
) as foreplay. Anger is Fi's default reaction and Michael knows that. More importantly, I know that. If she was trying to get his attention, hitting him would be more in character than say, smooching him or giving him a soft pat in the back. At least, I think so. *shrug* Am I the only one?

- Spoiler:
- They are not the normal couple, are they even a couple at all anymore? They don't really do couple-ly things. But regardless that's their thing. Even the first time we saw them kiss on the show was after they were trying to beat each other up. They are both dominant people and that's how they battle for the top. Michael would never hurt Fi on purpose and he would never throw a punch at her. And clearly, as displayed in this episode, he does outpower her. Nonetheless, I think it's hot haha.
On the other hand, what seems to be getting annoying is that after they have a fight about something Fi is conveniently abducted and Michael plays the knight in shining armor to valiantly rescue her and things are happy again. I don't know if that's going to be the case this time, but the whole kidnapping thing is kinda old.

FANTASTIC episode this week. The banter was sooooooo awesome.
Question relating to episode:
And question with the season:
Question relating to episode:
- Spoiler:
- Why have Jessie wanting Fi? He's gotta know that she and Mike are together...
And question with the season:
- Spoiler:
- I'm very confused with Simon, and who's in charge of what and involved with the burning of Jessie and Mikey...

My guess is:
- Spoiler:
- They needed the drama...?
Although, in all fairness, I'm a straight woman and I have a crush on Fi. She's too hot! lol
I can't help with the other question 'cause I'm as in the dark as you are. Perhaps I will attempt an answer/spec sometime when I'm less caffeinated (and thus faring a little better in the attention-to-detail department).

Did I mention that I love this show? Oh, yeah, I did.
But it bears repeating: I love this show!
Kasper,
But it bears repeating: I love this show!
Kasper,
- Spoiler:
- def agree on the Maddie love. Also, when she first goes to fetch Michael she's all: "Michael, are you home?" LOL
And the FBI Non-friends. Love them. Missed them. Was hoping we'd see them again. Having them as clients was just the cherry on top.

Re: Burn Notice Operatives
Wow, how did I miss this thread? Oh wait, I've not been here. Yep, that'll do it every time.
Love the show, absolutely love it and have since it started. I will offer this insight tho, re: the whole mishegas about Jesse and Simon...

- Spoiler:
- From what I can gather Mike was burned by Phillip Cowan, the NSA cog, but he was burned because Management purposfully altered his file to make him look rogue. Management did that to bring him into the fold because unlike other agents (say, Jesse) he was simply too good to leave out there in his official capacity. The hope was that once he was burned he could be suitably reconditioned and turned into a good field operative working for Carla, the problem being that Carla was as bad as the folks they were going up against. That actually seems to be a problem with the whole group really.
Now Jesse was either burned by accident when Michael used his ID to access the files or by Vaughn on purpose to use as a control on Michael. The latter would make sense because Mike has that savior complex going for him and Jesse being burned would (and has) forced Mike to toe Vaughn's line.
From what I can gather Simon was, at once time, like Michael (as was that other hitter who came after Carla) but was corrupted over time and went to the other team. The subtex here, and something we've heard from Fi a couple of times, is that playing this game causes the good guys to go bad or lose sight of why they're doing what they're doing in the first place.
Okay, that's just my interpretation, the show is plenty complex but that's why I love it.
Re: Burn Notice Operatives
Okay, so while I liked tonight's episode a lot, can someone clear something up for me in the promo for the next two episodes:
- Spoiler:
- There was a split second shot... Did we see Fiona leaning into Jesse, grasping his head in her hands?

Re: Burn Notice Operatives
I didn't get a promo, Hermione...
As for the episode:
Yeah, lotta love in this post, but what can you do? They're so awesome.
As for the episode:
- Spoiler:
- OMG!YES! Great episode. Excellent lines yet again. Sam's "Unstable minds think alike", it's probably my favorite. Followed closely by Fi's "I'll get a shovel", mostly because of the way she says it, like she might just as well shovel Michael to death with it. lol
Also, Maddie's only two scenes were still great. Her "great, great, great uncle" spiel was just hilarious. And Fi, well, my crush on Gabrielle Anwar apparently knows no bounds. And this show, with the boots and the hat? Is not helping.
AND we had the FBI dudes plus Simon. Simon... I love him. Love Garret Dillahunt, actually, in pretty much everything, and his demeanor in this episode was somewhat reminiscent of Deadwood, which is never a bad thing. Can't wait to see where this Vaungh thing is going. I knew the dude was lying before, but now that the "brothers" have sorta agreed to get back at him for screwing them over....well, to say that I'm giddy for the next episode would be pretty accurate.
Yeah, lotta love in this post, but what can you do? They're so awesome.

Re: Burn Notice Operatives
EPIC ending if I may say so.
- Spoiler:
- I was thinking that Jessie was going to sacrifice his life to save Michael, but I suppose I was half right. Now I'm wondering who picked up the suitcase. I guess he'll be the bad guy for the next season...
