David's House is 4 Sale!

The outdoor area alone is worht the asking price. Hope they get at least what they put into it . Market's bad, that's true, but we saw some 2 bedroom apts for almost a million, and not with that view either. Again, LA has a mystifying housing market, so best luck to them.

Oh, and put me on the list of DNW re:the black and white bathroom.

I loved the kitchen! And the outside area was wonderful and then the views, wonder what the next house will look like?

Not the best time to sell.....he's gonna get robbed. There is no way he'll get what he's asking for in this market.

Like someone said, the SoCal market is "different" to say the least. Some markets don't have any ties to the over all economy, and high end real estate is certainly one of them. Remember, that $3.4million whatever is a starting asking price - if someone really, really wants the home, they'll offer more. I wouldn't be surprised at all if David gets far more than his initial asking price if a bidding war erupts - and with that home - it's quite likely.

I don't think David has to worry about his return on investment - he'll do just fine.
