Rena aka Catfish says "She's the aggressor"
Now I am back to thinking that she sleeps with Booth!

I don't think so.
The author of this article added the sex-starved in there.
And 'flirtation' doesn't sound nearly as bad as sex-starved to me.
I really don't think they'll have sex.

plus at this point she's only scheduled to appear in predator, and given that Booth is hesitant to even go on a date with her in that epi, it's really not likely that they have sex ( yet anyway)

Re: Rena aka Catfish says "She's the aggressor"
Catfish? Must we really?
Anyway.
It's funny that the things I'm most excited about after reading that article are that Marsha Thompson is now a series regular in White Collar, and that Rena Sofer is doing more NCIS (I can't wait to see what's really going on with her character).
As for Bones: I know I'm alone but man, Booth is sex-starved. It's the one thing about this show that really shakes my disbelief (even Mulder got some! In between chasing aliens -and porn). A little sexing might give him perspective. That said, I doubt it'll go that far. Even though the character is named in one other ep. that we know of, those sides might be scrapped -and even if they're not, she could just be referred to as opposed to actually shown, which points to her being a blip in the radar rather than a real obstacle for the ship.
Anyway.

If Booth is so sex-starved, he just should man up and go to Brennan!
And I'll repeat it again: when you're in love with one woman, you don't sleep with another one. Sex-starved or not.

I agree 100% with you, but I think now it's too late to do anything about that.
Now that he admitted openly that he is in love with Bones (to Cam, to Sweets and to Gordon Gordon) it wouldn't be very 'boothy' if he went and had sex with anyone else......

Re: Rena aka Catfish says "She's the aggressor"
The only problem is that Booth is still confused!! He's acting all rational and not trusting his gut on his personal feelings.
He could easily talk himself into sleeping with her for rational reason. It's biological. It's a basic human need. She's pretty and attracted to me. I need to make sure I still have it after my brain operation.
I think in the 100th episode he rationalizes that Brennan doesn't love him or he doesn't love her.
Like I said last summer is they will pull the big Booth Pity Party of him being confused all season long. It wouldn't surprise me if it lasted to the season finale.
Ironic: Brennan wanted a baby in 'Critic'. Well, she got one this entire season with Booth being whiny, unsure of himself, pouty, not listening to anyone, etc.

Re: Rena aka Catfish says "She's the aggressor"
Well, if there is ever a good reason to be unsure of yourself, I'm guessing a brain tumor might be it, so let's be fair to the guy.
As for sex being biological, I don't think Booth would even consider it that way. But getting attention from an attractive woman after years of being quite literally dismissed by the woman he wants, should prove a good enticement. If nothing else it should give him pause to consider that, in the immortal words of Mick Jagger, you can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you get what you need. It would be unreasonable for him not to, even with Brennan's recent shifts in attitude -which we are more aware of, because we're the audience and we're supposed to get it.
Of course, this is all rethorical. It is a tv show and tv characters can stay celibate for seasons at a time (ask Janeway!). I'm sure Booth won't let it get to the bedroom, so y'all can breathe regular.

Couldn't disagree more about this, I don't think he's whiny at all ( ....well at the end of the tough man in the tender chicken he was a little but that was one episode) , and he's definitely listening to everyone else ( taking advice from Sweets, GG,Cam), it's himself that he's not listening to. I had thought his brain surgery and subsequent confusion would be hammered into us much more than it has , for the most part it has been very (IMO) downplayed, with just little moments thrown in to remind you, that Booth is in an emotional tailspin.

Re: Rena aka Catfish says "She's the aggressor"
This is 'wrong' on so many levels that I have to imitate our King......
He might still be confused and maybe he doesn't trust his gut yet, but he's not acting rational either. He's somewhere in the middle and finding his way back to his old self.
I think you confused the two main characters here. Brennan is all about biology and urges and needs. Booth is not and however confused and not himself he may be, he won't start acting like a total opposite of himself just because he sees a woman. If - and that's a big if - he really is attracted enough to her to think about having sex with her, he won't rationalize it with his Bones' thoughts of all people.
That would be like 'hey I'm going to have sex with a random woman, because the woman I'm in love with believes in urges'......yeah not very likely imo.
Again with the rationalizing......I just don't see it happen like that. And he believes that maybe his feelings aren't real (Although they would have gone away by now for sure, right? So maybe he'll realize that he really loves her instead.) and he might also think that Brennan could never love him (Because she doesn't believe in love maybe, although after her speech to Jared and Padme that's not all that likely anymore. Or because he thinks he wouldn't be good enough for her, but he's already the most important person in her life anyway so he seems to be good enough in her opinion.), but I just don't see it happen that he'll make a 180° turn and act like a totally different person.
And that just about gave me the rest......heart attack here I come.....Pity Party? What show were you watching while I watched Bones? I mean sure there were some moments when his tumor was mentioned and the whole thing about him doing things different then he used too. But all we really saw about that was the brown sugar thing, Brennan's conversation with Sweets and the plumbing stuff and I wouldn't call any of those a Pity Party.
I can't remember hearing him whine at all, and he listened to everyone! He went to Sweets (and the little *** told him some dumb ramblings about brain scans), talked to Cam and even asked Gordon Gordon.
If this wasn't worded nice enough I apologize. I didn't want to make it sound bad in any way, I just simply don't agree.

You do if she's not in love with you and she's dating other people like, oh say, your boss?mereva wrote:If Booth is so sex-starved, he just should man up and go to Brennan!
And I'll repeat it again: when you're in love with one woman, you don't sleep with another one. Sex-starved or not.
That's what it really comes down to for me - it's unbelievable how long he's played the part of the love monk. Mereva's sensibilities aside, Booth has never been a man who's going to force the issue with Brennan - what's he constantly saying to Sweets? "You can't push her." He's not going to man up and go to her, as much as we'd all love to see that, because he's not going to push her and he's not convinced she's got any real feelings for him other than friendship.heirofloki wrote:As for Bones: I know I'm alone but man, Booth is sex-starved. Hey, it's as much Brennan's fault as it is his. We keep painting her as this fragile hot house orchid who'll wilt in the face of adversity, and yes, when it comes to Booth she is particularly vulnerable, but she's shown us time and again that when it comes to Booth, especially when it comes to Booth, she's practically fearless in confronting the issues even when they're uncomfortable. I think if she knew she loved Booth, if she was really ready to be in love with Booth, she'd tell him. What I'm saying here is that GG was right, to a degree, that Brennan knows her feelings for Booth and struggles with them daily, but she has yet to acknowledge them as love, nor has she admitted that she loves him, even to herself. She's encouraging a mook like Hacker specifically to test her hypothesis that she might be in love with Booth, not fully appreciating that to Booth it's simply confirming that she's not in love with him at all. So he hears her talk about opening herself up to the possibility of love and all he's really taking in is that she means "with other people".
So yeah, I can see him having sex with
because he's finally admitting defeat. He's only spent three years waiting for her to catch up to him and now that she has she's dating another man - explain to me again his motivation for not sleeping with a woman who wants him? Oh, and saying the word "Love" isn't an answer, because I'll just counter with "heartbroken".I couldn't disagree more. First this season has been far from a pity party, it's been an exploration of two characters life and growth following a traumatic event. Booth's brain cancer and surgery.DripPan wrote:Like I said last summer is they will pull the big Booth Pity Party of him being confused all season long. It wouldn't surprise me if it lasted to the season finale.
Ironic: Brennan wanted a baby in 'Critic'. Well, she got one this entire season with Booth being whiny, unsure of himself, pouty, not listening to anyone, etc.
Brennan's actions during Critic, at the end when she was in the hospital with Booth, and her actions during his coma - right up to his waking up - were those of a spouse or lover, not a partner or friend. She's a genius and while she might have difficulty with emotions, she's not so stupid about them that she couldn't figure it out over those four days. So when he was awake and the doctors said he'd make a full recovery, she fled, she had to, she needed to sort it all out, but in doing so she was the catalyst for much of Booth's doubt.
Booth suffered the trauma of brain surgery, a major operation, and things like depression and confusion are common after such an event. My father had open heart surgery, for two years he struggled with the depression that left him with, an to this day he still has his down moments. It's a natural byproduct of dealing with a deadly threat that you can't control and who's outcome you can't influence.
So this season has really been about Booth rediscovering himself, not whinning. He's been unsure of himself because he IS unsure of himself. The illness and surgery, plus Brennan's absence, have forced him to put the last five years, as well as much of his life, into perspective. He's put himself on hold waiting for a woman who can't love him because she doesn't believe in love. He's let his ex dictate the terms of his fatherhood to his son. He's let his career stagnate to continue a relationship that, while emotionally and professionally rewarding, is going no where. He's the heart person who's cut himself off from the world. The investigator who hasn't been able to solve the mystery of his own heart. The paladin who seems to hurt the ones he wants to protect. Booth has lost his way and this season has been about his attempt to find his way back, so yes, he's resorted to reason and rationality because they're the tools he's seen Brennan use time and time again when she's been confronted with crippling emotions, and that's what he's dealing with. He's dealing with fear, doubt, and loss - any one of which is hard for someone to handle, but he's handling all three right now.
Oh, and Booth not listening to anyone? Since when? If anything he's listening to everyone too much. He listened to Sweets about the brain scans, and Cam when she cautioned him to not make a move until he was sure - the result was "atta girl". We'd have all been happier if he hand't listened to anyone and actually said "I love you". Likewise when it came to his 'gut' failing him, he listened to Brennan and started relying on Sweets in interrogation. When it came to his aim being off he listened to GG and had Brennan show up at his test, where he passed with flying colors. When he screwed up with Jared he listened to Brennan again and made things right. In fact he's listened more this season than any other which fits since he's unsure of himself, of course he's going to listen to everyone else - he doesn't know what else to do. So no, I just don't see it the way you do.
Anyway, IMO if Sofer is the aggressor Booth will feign interest and only make a real move once he finds out that Brennan's dating Hacker.

I would say that logically they both won't sleep with those
