Project FOX - Case or Character?

Post by bugaboo628 on Thu Feb 25, 2010 9:54 am

Project FOX is examining FOX's procedural dramas. They would like to know if you watch 'Bones' for case or character.

Why do you watch 'Bones'? Is it for the cases or the character interaction?

*They are doing this for all of the FOX procedurals, I just chose 'Bones'*

Hmmm. Originally for the cases, now it's more for the characters (doesn't help that some of the cases have gotten a little... weak... even as the characters heat up)

I would say half half, although that being said i don't care for episodes with no character development and a weak case...

For me, I only watch shows i am emotionally invested in the characters. That said, i have always been into bones cases as they are written very well!

I like cases and characters, but it does feel from about season three onward they've steered more towards character driven storylines as opposed to really emotional or meaningful cases. We still have some at times, but now it seems like the "in" thing is to have the wierdest positions of the victim when they're found, or just plain cases in general, rather than focusing on the actual science behind it all.

I would say a bit of both though, simply because had it not been for the cases, BB wouldn't have met in the first place. Scary thought, eh? Rolling Eyes

Characters - not to say I don't like or enjoy the cases because I do, but procedurals aren't usually my thing so for me it's definitely the characters.

I STARTED WATCHING BONES FOR THE STORY LINES BUT AS THE SEASONS WENT ALONG I GOT INTO THE CHARACTERS ALOT BUT WHAT IS GREAT ABOUT THIS SHOW IS THAT THEY CAN COMBINE BOTH THE CHARACTERS AND CASES TOGHETHER WITHOUT COMPERMISING THE STORY LINE YOU GET THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS THAT IS WHY I LOVE WATCHING BONES
