Okay I zoomed... but I got nothing out of it... is it because the donut ring is around the "do you want me to prove it to you?"

The surprise is its the script for the S4 finale - The End in the Beginning - and they're open to the sex scene. Now why would HH have THAT particular script open to THAT particular page when writing the S5 finale, a finale named "The Beginning in the End", Hmmm?

Yeah, I don't get it either. So he's looking at the tEitB script; we already knew the finales were parallel stories. What's the surprise?

On a side note. How much do I love that he's taking the time to go over the old script to get the new one going? So, so much love.

AH this is what I get from assuming.. cause I figured we all knew that was going to happen already! LOL I had no doubt that if he really titles the finale The Beginning in the End that those particular words would be in it.

Maybe I have been living in fanfiction land too much recently. I've already wrote my own final episode in my mind. Wink

As for that donut / script -- he is soo playing with us. Even if he's not leading us off in the boonies on some wild goose chase, he is sitting back on that ball he sits on in his office and laughing his butt off at us! But I gotta say I love the tingle he's creating with all of this.

I doubt he's "faking us out" because i think the backlash he got after last year was a wake up call to how fast a fan base can turn on you. but, i deff think he is leaving little things purposefully to get us more....hard core fans all hot and bothered lol

He's hopelessly in love with her and has been for over five years, and for that entire time he's labored under the belief she not only doesn't love him but at one time actively hated him, and because of that one night he's reluctant to take a chance on them as a couple because if he's wrong he knows exactly what will happen - because it's already happened once before.

I agree, and you make a good point.

I think that they dated or had an encounter:
They dated or got very close to each other, they would have kissed or maybe almost hooked up. They then had a falling out and agreed never to mention it again.
This would explain
-Why Booth sis they are not compatible, because they had already been there and it didn't work, so why would it work now
- Why angela was saying that Bones still had a chance with Booth. Maybe angela knew they had kissed or went on a date.
-why they are so resistant to date now.
-Why booth seemed so shocked when the ghost in HitH asked him if he loved someone and never said it. Maybe he wished he told Bones he loved her and they would still be dating.
- Why Booth said having sex in CitC would create an emotional boned, because it would bring up their old feelings
-In harbinger we find out Bones doesn't know how anyone could love her, maybe this is because of the falling out her and Booth had, she feels that Booth doesn't love her because when they were dating her never told her.
-Why she was so interested in the making love speech booth had.

And just because she told Jared "booth never took that chance" doesn't men anything, for all we know, Bones could have "taken the chance"

Also has anyone ever though that maybe nothing happened?? I am to afraid to really hope something happened, so although i think they might have dated, i am going to expect that nothing happened, after all it is possible.

I doubt they dated. I think if there was anything, it was one of those "take me now" moments--hot, wild, mad passion based off a really intense flash of attraction. Now that could be anything from a kiss that almost became more, actual sex, one of them acting on the attraction & the other shooting them down, and so on, or even meeting socially before professionally and giving in to it, being 2 strangers in a bar or something like that (I suspect even Booth's had his share of one-nighters), and he/she/they are having problems now that he shows up to have her consult on a case.

But something happened, I'm pretty sure about that!

Would it be too grey's anatomy-ish for them to have met in the bar......and been wildly attracted to each other (maybe even kissed/flirted) only to realize a little while later they are working together and can't stand each other? Although, I'm not sure pre-angela bones would even have reason to go into a bar.

Even if they didn't do anything physical, something HAD to have happened on that first case to make them get to the state they are in in the pilot. Sure we know brennan could have just been cold to him and drove him crazy. In the pilot we learned that he hadn't really given her the credit she deserved for solving the last case they worked on together and he gave her a hard time about finding the murder weapon (off of the x-rays) But, that just doesn't seem enough to me to create the tension we saw in those first few episodes.

Even emily said in an interview she was excited to find out why they "hated each other" in he beginning so it had to at least be something! I think the best part of the 100th will be getting that inside look at the characters. Booth was probably just starting out at the "special agent position" he probably had an ego the size of texas and a lot to prove. He could have still been getting over gambling and his son/rebecca stuff. Bones....well she's a whole other can of emotional/baggage goodness. I really can't even imagine how cold and socially awkward she was before her bff angela softened her up.

I know we've gone over this a billion times already. but...i just don't understand what happens in this episode and possible the one after it to make them even THINK about dating other people. I just don't get it. Unless brennan sort of kick starts the entire thing by going out with hacker to prove to herself that she has feelings for booth. But at this point it seems like booth is the one that needs to do the proving so i'm just all sorts of confused and it's killing me that we wont know for a long time.

I was thinking that too, i mean how could the episode be so big, then they take such a huge step back, but then i had an idea!

What if they both had a self revelation in the 100th, where Booth realises he has always loved Bones all along, and Bones realises that she loves Booth(either even more than she does now, or she realises her feelings are love). So this leaves them in a pretty bad position, they both love each other, but Booth cant see how Bones feel, Bones cant see how Booth feels.

Then they have the reunion and they have to pretend to be husband and wife, but this is different than the coma dream, this is real. Everything they feel is real, everything they do and say is real. I that that they maybe get a bit close to each other, they have to kiss to keep up their disguise etc. I think that when the night is over, instead of admitting their feelings, they run from each other. Not because they are scared but because they are afraid to get to close t the person they love, they are afraid that if they let themselves fall for each other any more they will be hurt. So this is why they date people, to try and move on, Bones calls hacker, then Booth goes out with Klein. It is like they feel they need to move on, before their feelings get to bad, the freak at the thought of "losing so much self control".

But i think they will both realise nothing can compare to each other, and in the end they admit how they feel.

Well anyway just a thought, and i think it fits in with the general story line.

I agree with you JCN about Brennan but Booth is still screwed up in the noggin so he can go alot of ways:

1. He doesn't loves Brennan
2. Brennan doesn't love him
3. They don't love each other

They have messed up Booth's character so bad that no one even knows what is going on with him. Is he still confused or isn't he?
