I thought I'd never have to go through this in this fandom...

this is just slightly dumb.......okay maybe it is really dumb.....

i kinda feel bad for this actress lol well any actress that ha to play a character attracted to seeley joseph booth that's not emily erin deschanel.

was this girl on 90210 way back in the day?? i deff know her from somewhere maybe old melrose place....on of those teenage soapy shows i think.

It's stuff like this that lends a bad name to fandom. *shakes head*

I don't think it is that big of a deal, it is a harmless fanpage that was set up. I can see it being a problem if it was a page geared toward killing her or something.

True enough, as long as it doesn't get...extreme. It's just wierd, I guess, I mean she's one character and she'll only be around for an episode or two. Meh, whatever floats their boat I guess.

The thing is, it doesn't say keep Catherine off Booth. It says, keep Rena Sofer in NCIS. Maybe I'm burnt from being part of the CSI fandom (where Jorja Fox was outright vilified) or Dark Angel (where Michael Weatherly had a board to wishing the death of his character) but in my experience people tend to get nasty at those things, particularly when the line between character and actor gets blurred.

Actually, it's not just my past experience: when I came into this fandom, I learnt of the Cam/Tamara bashing during S2 because Tamara mentioned it in an interview, so it does get out. And the woman, well, she's just doing her job.

Yeah, the Jorja Fox bashing on CSI was worrisome, and when folks went after Tamara because of Cam? That really bothered me. I tend to go after the characters, not the actors, and when I do go after the actors it's not because I disklike them but because I don't think they fit the part.

For example, I was/am rough with Diedrich Bader but not because I hate him for playing Hacker. I think the guy is a talented comedic actor an is so totally wrong for BONES it's not funny. As much as I want to hate Hacker I actually like Bader's performance and characterization - that doesn't make it any less wrong for the show nor does it mean I won't be rejoicing when they retire him. That said, I won't be looking for any "Get Bader off Bones!" websites anytime soon either.

IMO Rena Sofer isn't a good fit, IMO. I honestly don't see her as being a real threat - I mean she's attractive, but Emily is stunning. You want someone who will really challenge Em's character and to me, that's just not Rena. I'd have gone a different route:



I mean, if I'm Booth and Dr Remy Hadley walks up to me...Um, hey like I said. Rena Sofer is nice and all, just not quite what I'd be looking for. For Booth, I mean.

LOL. 'Sall a matter of taste, Rob. I like OW, she's pretty. But I like women who have...I don't have the word for it. A stronger presence, I guess. Gabrielle Anwar in BN, Anna Torv in Fringe, Eliza Dushku in anything. Lena Olin in Alias? I would have switched teams for that woman and never looked back. And RS, she may not have that angelic type, but she sure can play a woman who could eat you up and spit you out without a second thought. If Booth doesn't find that hot, she can come pay me a visit, then. lol

I'm guessing RS is meant to play a more decisive, more people-oriented version of Brennan. Like S1 Brennan, but without the bubble-girl attitude to things.

• Look for bones Spoilers

• Read fanfic (not get enough new fanfic and go back and read all the old fanfic as well)

• Reorganise your sock draw

• Rewatch Bones episodes

• Ponder the meaning of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic symbols...like and

• Wonder if the end is in the beginning...or if the beginning is in the end?

• Spend hours questioning who has the larger forehead...Hacker or Cam's new boyfriend?

• Spend even longer wondering how the measurements to see who would win King Of The Lab Master Of The Forehead could be attained?

See? There's more stuff that you can do with your time rather than THIS insanity!

This is something that I have been pondering greatly.

This sort of thing happened on grey's anatomy. When Addison (kate walsh) came onto the scene and took mcdreamy back from poor meredith (ellen pompeo) the shit nearly hit the fan. It started off ok (cute little team meredith/team addison t-shirts) and then went way way crazy with the kate walsh fans and ellen pompeo fans literally going after each other in nasty online ways. most of the discussions got deleted they were so heated. I don't understand why the actors have to even come up in things like that. It was really crummy IMO. It's one thing to say "I hate Catherine b/c she's gonna date booth" and it's another to say I hate Rena, for being on bones. As long as the discussion stays with the characters I don't see the harm in it.


I have a question though....were there any "we despise sully fan clubs?" I didn't watch the show then. But, watching those episodes now I see Sully as a bigger threat than Catherine ever could be. Was it ok when brennan thought about sailing off with sully? I'm not trying to be mean, I just really don't know since i didn't watch it. I kind of feel with this fandom sometimes that brennan can do whatever she wants and it's justified because she "isn't normal" but the second booth wants to have lunch with a girl it's a national crisis. Again, not trying to start a battle, just curious.

interesting. i'll have to dig that up! now if HH really wanted to get everyone in a tizzy he'd bring sully back and give booth some real competition again instead of that odd ball hacker. I shouldn't even put things like that out into the universe. lol
