thanks for these. i saw this over at the other board. I do think him and Jaime at least look like a better couple from the outside. Ingrid does look older than him! I wasn't expecting her to be a brunette! I guess I'm so used to him with jaime that a brunette seems odd to me lol

So he was only with her two years? Why did they get divorced? I wanted to ask details on the other board but figured it would get deleted.

David has said in an interview quite a while ago that Ingrid found it difficult to deal with him suddenly being something more than just her husband. She found it difficult to deal with his fame, and he found it difficult to deal with her not being part of his world - understanding the way the entertainment industry works I'd think. Long hours, crazy work schedules, close contact with co-workers required in story lines - the list goes on and on. Both tried to work things out, but in the end it wasn't working.

I think it was the same interview where David said he still very much respects her and her social work for abused kids.

Okay, I'm going to step in here now.

I'm not locking this thread, but I will be monitoring it, and I may lock it if I feel it warrants it. Being curious about a picture of David's first wife is one thing, passing along valid information is fine too, but talking about rumors is not.

Nobody here wants others spreading rumors about them, so keep your manners about you and don't fall into the trap of spreading rumors about others. Yes, these are celebrities, but no, we don't have to perpetuate rumors.

me too she wasn't what i was expecting! I was surprised she was a social worker too, I figured she was in the industry somehow.

Jamie would definitely be more adept to dealing with his fame etc. as she herself has been in the spotlight.
I think that would help in Hollywood marriages where one person is in the limelight and the other isn't or is no longer.

i honestly have much respect for spouses of actors (whether it be the male or female) if they aren't actors too. it just must be so hard dealing with fans...the media...time...privacy. Not to mention i'd be jealous as hell. It's amazing to me that hollywood marriages last at all.it's that whole side of the job that makes it seem not so glamorous.
