Why do you think B&B started hating each other in the 100th??

Okay so after all the spoilers, including the new video, it is clear that B&B liked each other a lot, before they had their falling out, so what does everyone think happened, why did they end up hating each other so much??

hmmmm... i am not too sure about that, but i know to have that kind of turn around of opinions of each other it had to be something big and very significant.

Definitely something BIG, they obviously liked each other a lot, so it couldn't be someting little.

^^^^ I just have no guesses really as to the exact nature of the fall out, but jeez were they ever flirty in that clip! (and also on the couch in sweets office)!! I can't really get a good feel on what the look on sweets face means. Maybe it is the pessimist in me coming out today... But are we 100% sure the story they are telling sweets is true?

I thinking once they actually start working together they just are very very different and clash. Remember this is like.....season one brennan even worse. She's probably very lacking in social skills (since it's even before she met angela) and frustrates the hell out of him. Booth probably has never met a woman like that and while he's attracted to her, she drives him nuts at the same time. You can really tell how they get on each others nerves in season one....and then it shifts. Almost like they got used to each other and their faults became strengths.

I deff agree that something has to happen!

Hmm looking at Sweets face i sort of got the impression that either, he is going to say, "how did you feel at the time, because you say you dont love each other, but seems like you did so cut the BS and tell me how you FELT" or that they leave out on vital piece of info.

It would be great if they left out a part of the story, then at the end B&B or B&B and Sweets were discussing it, and then they mentioned the missing piece, which could be like a kiss or somin, how sweet would that be if they were like "we didnt tell him that last par of our story" then it flashes back to them kissing.

Okay i can see the falling out being either about romance, or some other non-romance related reason.

if it as a romantic falling out, it would explain
-Why they haven't made move on each other yet, because they have already been there.
-Why they had so much fiery tension int he beginning of the season, because it was all left over from their romantic encounter.
-why they never spoke about their falling out in detail.
- It would explain why they told the story int he first place. Think about it, if the conclusion of Sweets book is that they love each other, and it was this conclusion that made them tell the story, wouldn't the story be all about trying to prove Sweets wrong, by saying that maybe they had already been there, or that they truly are not compatible, ect, but in saying that they could also be telling the story because they wanted to show Sweets that they never had romantic feelings, so it could go each way i guess.

Non romantic fall out could explain why
-there was no awkwardness, only fiery sexual tension
- All the comments about him not Bones any credence ect.

So either way, i am just curious as to how they could go from goo eyes, and drooling to never wanting to work with reach other again.

haha i could totally see this being the case, I think because they have such conflicting views on things and are such diferent people, when they first try to get along they are bound to end up disliking each other. Luckily over the years they have accepted that they are different and have built a great relationship

I know I'm new here but I wanted to throw my two cents in. Feel free to pick it apart when I'm done I apologize in advance this is going to be long.

Okay so here's my little theory. From the previews B&B were initially very attracted to each other ( that much is obvious ). Say after they solved the first case Booth asks Brennan out for drinks to celebrate the close of the case. They drink just enough for the flirting to escalate. Booth being Booth in the earlier seasons, probably suggest they take a cab home. And back to Booth he most likely sent the cab to Brennan's apartment first. Being the gentlemen he is would have walked her to her door. With the attraction and the alcohol between them I'm thinking this is when he kisses her/she kisses him. Things heat up between them and they end up in her bedroom. The stop kissing as maybe her mouth moves to his neck and he gets a peek at her bedroom. I'm assuming she is still probably with Pete at this time since he shows up in the pilot to get his tv. Booth maybe sees some of his clothes or a picture and with his morals can't be the other guy. He stops her and says something about it being wrong to cheat or something about love ( referring to her and pete ). Brennan takes huge offense to whatever he says and slaps him and kicks him out.

Now with that scenario thrown out there, let me elaborate. The above scenerio could be the reason why Booth really freaked out over her dating those two men in season 3?? I think it was season 3. Also it could be another reason Brennan is so adamant that Monogamy never works. She most likey believe in it at one point if she was living with Pete. It could also be the reason why Booth states some people you just can't sleep with. He remembers how he felt when he was in her arms and he knows she could never be just a one night stand.

Okay so I totally had this whole thing thought out and just lost my train of thought. Let me stew on it some more and I'll come back and post. Feel free to start the picking now =P

Every one needs to throw the relationship theory out. When HH did the pilot I doubt he was thinking out the 100th episode. So, the tension was already there. It would have to be something besides past sexual relationship.....otherwise, it would have come out way before now.

Personally...I think Booth had a problem with the way Bones did a case, and Bones had a problem being called Bones...and while they might have been attracted to each other....they couldn't stand each other. They part ways...after some verbal sparring....and then we have the pilot...where they are bickering. It makes more sense to me. They have always had attraction....just couldn't stand each other.

See I thought that too but if you watch the preview vid that's out now, there was some major flirting going on. Also it's been said by David and Emily there was a slap. I highly doubt she would slap him just because she didn't like him. She needed a reason too. When Sweets book comes out they rush into his office to prove to him they aren't in love with each other by going back to their first case. I definitely think there was at least a kiss if not more. I do not however think they slept together. Bones stated in one episode Booth has no prior knowledge of what she is like in bed. Hart has always had a vision of the series, from beginning to end. Remember the series is based off of Kathy Reich's book and even though the series is not exactly word for word of the books, the ending and relationships are still the same I believe.

The slap is probably not for any sexual advance Booth makes in the flashback--Brennan's pretty open, especially back then. While I also doubt she would slap him for a simple No, it could be (as has already been speculated) because he turned her down in the middle of some serious action with what would be a damn stupid reason to her.
However, have they actually said the slap is a flashback? What if Booth says something to her after they leave Sweets' office about, oh I don't know--something on the lines of "I've always loved you, no matter the BS we just fed Sweets" or something equally dramatic and life-altering. I can see him saying it completely matter-of-fact, ignoring all of the mutual angst spread over the last 5 years and she just stares at him, stunned. Cue fight, slap, and decision to date elsewhere. ( , )

I think the reason they end up dating other people is going to end up having to do with Sweets. It just smells like a Sweets thing. Something along the lines of " Well if I am wrong in my book why are you two out there dating? " or something along those lines. But it's just a theory ( Does anyone else fell like Hodgins with the conspiracy's? )

Okay so i have totally changed my theory after realising something. I cant see Booth and Brennan admitting they had any romantic encounters in their flash back story, i mean think about it; Sweets dissects everything they say, he even related Booth wanting Bones to eat pie, to sex. So why would they admit to something as big as them dating in the past, knowing it will only support Sweets theory that they are indeed, in love. See if Booth and Brennan were trying to prove to Sweets they were not in love, they would not tell him a story about how they dated in the past, they would talk about present things, like how Bones is dating Hacker, ect.

So i think that they tell the story because they are proving to sweets that they did not always get along, or something along those lines anyway. So what i think happens is they both read the book, and then they go to each other and there is some minor awkwardness as they both ask each other what they think of the book, i think they will both say the book is ok, but Sweets got it wrong about them getting along from the beginning, but they never discuss the conclusion. So anyway they go to Sweets and tell him the story and explain that they did not always get along, and tell him the reason why, which i think has to do with them having different points of views etc. So anyway they are telling their story and i think that at one point it will get awkward, because they are just reaching the point where something romantic happens, but i think that they both disclose that info and continue with the story.

ANyway it think that they will finish their story and in the final minuets of the episode they will be talking about the story and i think one of them will say "we didn't tell Sweets about that night" or something like that, then i think the other will say something like "well it only happened once and we sorted it out before", i then think one of them will say "do you think it would have changed the conclusion of his story?" and then the other will say "i dont know", then i think we will see one more flashback, where they have their little romantic encounter, and decide it cant happen again. then it think the episode will end. See what i think is that, they have a little romantic encounter, then they have a work related fight and never mention the romantic thing again see this would explain why in Pilot Angela says to bones "you still have a chance with Booth" because they never actually said it is over, it was just implied, this would also explain all the tension as well.

So yeah, just my theory, hope it seems like something that could happen
