Thanks to "House," FOX grabbed the top spot among adults 18-49 with a 5.4 rating. ABC and NBC tied for second at 3.6. CBS drew a 2.9 for fourth, and The CW came in at 1.5.

Night two of the "Dancing with the Stars" premiere earned an 11.8/18 for ABC at 8 p.m. CBS got an 8.7/14 from the season premiere of "NCIS." FOX was third with "Bones," 5.2/8, topping "The Biggest Loser" on NBC. "Beauty and the Geek" delivered a 1.9/3 for The CW.

FOX moved in front at 9 p.m. with the "House" season premiere, 10.7/16 (it was also the night's No. 1 show in the 18-49 demo). "Dancing," 13.0/19, and "Boston Legal," 7.1/11, put ABC in second. The premiere of "The Unit" on CBS was a fairly distant third, but still finished two points ahead of "The Biggest Loser," 4.7/7 on NBC. The debut of "Reaper" scored a 2.1/3, building slightly on its lead-in.

Okay, so Bones lost to NCIS...no biggie..BONES fuckin' rules, anyway!

NCIS' shinier, happier backstage mood paid off on-screen, as it (13.65 mil) outperformed last year's premiere by 530 thou. Bones (8.25 mil) was down 16 percent versus its own previous opener. With three mil, Beauty and the Geek kissed off about 340K week-to-week.

This is one discussing the rating as well...

"House was the biggest hit of the night, leading FOX to a second place finish. The FOX tandem of Bones and House should be a power house throughout the TV season and, although House is the real hit, Bones doesn't do so poorly on its own. It did place third in the 8pm timeslot, behind Dancing with the Stars and NCIS."
This pretty much says it all and i think it is good news :-)

Bones have a solid 10 mil viewer average. Ratings? It's important, yes. It's good, moreover that Fox is paying more for promos, they just can't put down a good, intelligent show.

Bones is listed as #3 this week from Zap It. However Fox was #1 overall in the coveted 18-49 spot!

ok so seems to be a trend...don't understand the dancing...but generally gorwing tired of all the singing, dancing, iceskating and whatnot shows..I love the Bones show! Tough against NCIS because among the crime stuff it is one with quite a bit of character stuff throughout it...hmmm..can't have everything, but i still think Tues is good and paired with House as well,...let's see how goes. Looking good i think
