It was pretty good until awhile ago. I should just learn to watch the news and not turn the ringer off of my phone.

Sorry, that was sort of obscure. My wife's father is stuck in a foreign country, flights are all cancelled here, and she's going to be a bit upset when she wakes up and finds out...

He's in Dubai. Nice enough, at least a lot of people speak english there. I don't have any way to get hold of him, I hope he can send an email or call again.

Dubai isn't that bad
it's safe and they speak english.....could have been worse....like France where they come at you with giant baguettes and speak this strange language all the time

I'm sure G will understand that it is too dangerous to fly right now, even if she will be upset about it

She was really looking forward to him coming. I'm going to have to play a trump card to get her to cheer up tonight.

okay I checked, not all airports are closed yet

but there are quite a lot changed routes and/or canceled flights here too
it really depends where you want to land at what time of the day

Thank you, my computer is incredibly slow right now, my new hard drive isn't here yet. It takes about 5 minutes to load a new page.

Lufthansa says that only Hamburg is closed so far, every other airport is still open

so he could probably try to fly to Germany and then take the train, but that might take a while
