It seems as though there are some parallels between Bones murders and real life murders. This murder based on Devil Bones (which I still need to read!), and I remember in the "Bones Fun Facts" photo gallery on EW.com, they mentioned that Bones writers seem to have to ability to see into the future: a midget wrestler was killed after "Dwarf in the Dirt" was written. Also, not a murder, but after they wrote "The Goop on the Girl", a man dressed as Santa actually robbed a bank, and a body part was found in a chicken nugget after "Tough Man in the Tender Chicken" was written.
