E!Online - Emily on Booth & Brennan

Reggie in New York: How about some Bones scoop!? Did you run into the gorgeous Emily Deschanel?
I did just hours ago, my friend! And you'll be happy to know that she's looking fabulous in a short new hairdo (lighter, too) and if I get five seconds of free time here maybe we can even find a photo for you. (She said she'll keep the look for Bones.) Anyhoo, I asked if she knows if Boothe and Brennan will ever, you know, have a serious relationship, and Emily told me: "Funny you should mention that, because I literally just spoke to Hart Hanson about that and we were debating whether it would make sense for them to get together next season or not. Funny enough, when we did Comic-Con the last time, the crowd cheered more loudly for them not to get together, so we'll see. I am a producer, so I do have some say." (David Boreanaz showed up at the Fox presentation but did not do interviews with the press, to the shock of, well, no one.)

If they're debating about whether or not to get them together next season, then I'm thinking they won't be getting together for the finale this week.

I think that is a safe assumption.

Thats a bummer. Hey maybe they will kiss or something, maybe even a decloration of some sort of love. (or am i dreaming)

Let's be serious for a moment folks, did we really think that was gonna happen. I don't think anyone but the fans want some lovin.
I will just be happy with walking away with him and her knowing her feelings, not just her, him too. Maybe they can't get out of their commitments, but they need to know that this is something to work on.

I will be thrilled if she just admits she's not going to the dig because of Booth. ( and secretly I think we all hope this is a misdirect about the finale.... LOL)

i didn't expect them to be together but i do hope as you guys have said that it ends with booth knowing or realizing how brennan really feels and with brennan realizing she wants him but maybe feels it can't happen. i'd be okay with that as long as we stop the ridiculous charade.

I also hope it's a misdirect because I thought I read somewhere that they already had the first few episodes of season 6 written? (Or am I imagining that?) So if they are 'just now' talking about it then it wouldn't happen till pretty much later in season 6... although of course if this is specifically about them being "completely together" than I think that would take lots of time to play out anyway (with all the fun they could have with it) But if it's about them being together in "any way shape or form" than I truly hope they don't wait that long to take it the HINT or START of that path... (Am I making any sense or only in my own head? LOL)

Plus I remember the interview at comic con and how they did show Emily's face when the crowd cheered for keeping B/B apart, and she did look surprised then... so I hope it isn't something that would really influence decisions....

Did anyone see the happy House/Huddy season ender, I think Bones fans deserve the same!!

I agree with you. Not saying I'm convinced we'll get any type of resolution in the finale as far as BB go ... but I don't think Emily would be giving anything away either. I'm sure they were told exactly what to say and what not to say. I'm not reading anything into this little snippet. Lots of different definitions of "get together."

I was not expecting them to get together in the season finale. I mean, HH wrote this episode, so I am kind of expecting the worst when it comes to B&B.

Maybe...just maybe....we'll at least see Brennan realize that she has more than "partner" feelings for Booth and begin to realize that she can probably allow herself to feel those and, someday, act on those.

That's really all I'm allowing myself to hope for at this point.

The BB relationship has been a dragged on the show. BB missed their moment, and it is now time to move on. As a former shipper, I just don't care anymore. All I want is for an entertaining hour of television.

You don't care about the B&B reationship anymore??? Why???

Well, I'm not giving up hope. B&B could still kiss and start working on their romantic relationship, but they probably won't get into a "serious" relationship until S6. Emily probably couldn't say too much any ways.
