Something sort of random I've always wondered: What was the story behind they guy who showed up at Booth's funeral, other than that the only way Booth would ever see him again would be at his funeral? I mean, it just sort of came out of nowhere, and I'd like to know more about that guy. When was Booth after him? What did he do, exactly?

I've always been curious about that too. Would have liked to know a little more about it.

Brennan has been working with the FBI for over 5 years. So why does she still only have a Visitor badge? You would think she would have a contractor ID badge by now...LOL! Maybe she should harass Booth for one like he harassed her for the Jeffersonian badge...

Yes!

I was just watching Two Bodies in the Lab with the commentary by ED and DB, and they mentioned this, how Booth has an official Jeffersonian badge but Brennan only has the visitor's FBI badge.

The vistims are Widows' Sons, not Gormagon or his apprentices.

And on the initial post, the unbuttoned sleeves drive me nuts.

I'm pretty sure it was stated somewhere that the Master of each generation searches for his apprentice among the fatherless.

That's what I always thought. After all, the original Gormagon worked with underpriveleged children (I'm not quite certain what the circumstances were... I really should watch season 3 again!), and that was where he obtained his apprentice. His victims were members of the Knights of Colombus, following the chart on the tapestry (the violinist, the bishop, the heretic).

I almost posted the same thing the other night. But then I started watching "Knight on the Grid" again, and they do talk in that episode that the apprentices are also widow's sons ... but it may be in the extended version of the episode on the DVD. Because I hadn't remembered that before from watching the episode on tv. Which, may be where the confusion comes from.

I've always wondered on the math with Brennan. If she Ph'd at 23 ( she didn't sleep with Michael until she finished - to avoid the whole student /teacher issue - even with acclerated classes and summer sessions she'd need to have STARTED college at a minimum of age 15. That's whe n her parents left and she was in foster care - and she was still in high school. Also, at the reunion, there never was any mention of her being younger than her classmates. They made it seem like everyone was about the same age. Are we supposed to think no one noticed she was a genius until college? That doesn't seem likely. scratch ...funny how writing helps work things out. She had to have been self-teaching herself stuff while in school - hence the dissections of dead animals, etc. When she got to college she just tested out of everything and went straight into a combined master's/ Ph'd program. Phew! I know it's a stretch, but at least it's in the land of being plausible. Very Happy. (I hate when things don't add up Razz)

Watched Proof in the Pudding today...now I wonder...how many pairs of handcuffs does Booth carry on him at one time? LOL...he had at least 3 shoved in various pockets during this episode. Maybe he stashed them there before he shot his way in knowing there were 3 guys in there.

also..is it a sniper thing to have your weapon on the opposite side of your dominant hand or is it just personal preference....seems like everyone else on the show carries their weapon on their dominant side but Booth carries his on his left.

you know...we've come up with some really good questions...HH needs to do a Q&A and answer fan questions like these.

I've always wondered why in the pilot when Booth shoots Brennan's gun he is a crappy shot. Wouldn't it impress a girl more if he nailed it dead on? And then when he whips out his gun and shoots two off into the head, why were they off center? As a sniper wouldn't he shoot dead center, between the eyes like the way he killed the guy in The Man In The SUV? Plus both shots should've been with deadly accuracy, making it look like one hole through the head.

For the first shot I thought the reason he missed on purpose was to get her more compliant. He thought that if she thought she was better than him, he'd have a better chance of getting her to do what he wanted. The second shots I have no idea why they are off centre, I've always wondered that as well.

Actually, his recertification wasn't one bullet hole either. They were all like, center circle... I don't know much about shooting...the reaction on the show was that it was pretty impressive...so, at least they are consistent with something. Very Happy

and also to be fair a handgun is a lot different than a rifle I would imagine, so it stands to reason that the shots would be aimed differently.

Shots don't need to be one on top of the other for deadly accuracy. In fact, if i were shooting i'd want them that little bit off covering more area and causing more damage.
