Does anyone know how to rip DVD's?

I can rip music from my CD's pretty easily, but I have no idea how to do DVD's. I'm pretty sure there is a program I'd have to download right? What is one that's safe, and very easy to use? Or is there a way to do this without the downloading? Thanks!

there are programs that you will probably have to download, I had one a couple of years ago but it was installed for me by someone else...you'll probably need a decrypter (or a program that does both) as well, since most dvd's are encoded so you can't burn them

Well, I know you're a survivor of the XF-fandom. Perhaps also a veteran of the short-lived yet completely psychotic Dark Angel-fandom? *sigh* The flame-wars of yester-year, and the fandom-wide breakdowns of the days of yore... Also, Rob and I were just reminiscing on the old days of the internet, back when internet-fandom was this crazy new thing.... emphasis on crazy.... and trolls and flame-wars were the order of the week. *reminisces*
Anyway, back to topic, I guess. Anyone has any answers for the original question? (just remember not to feed the Troll while you're typing)

Well... I knew a guy once who had this "little problem"... (bent to the left actually...) [Only admins are allowed to see this image] LOL
Oh, and sorry, I'm very "computer basic" and not sure how to rip dvd's! Cd's yes... Dvd's, not so much! (pretty much in same boat as you original poster on that one!)
